Cable is for old people. Haven’t had that shit for a decade.
Almost the same for me.
Switched in 2012.

I can't imagine trying to teach my wife how to deal with a new type of TV interface so I haven't gotten around to ditching my cable company yet. I already have more shit on my plate than I can handle these days.

seems like the cord cutting movement has been going on for 15-20 years

it seems like we may have even had a thread about it here...

edit: yup viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2299&hilit=cord+cut

Cut cords. Work around ESPN if you can.

Netflix in 2007
Hulu in 2008

but at least for me, cable wasn’t worth the cost even before that. if KU wasn’t on 38 the spot, to the bar (or a friend’s or family member’s house) i go

in SLC i get ~30 digital channels with a good antenna

I'd argue this more but honestly, you're probably right. I really should just get it over with and do it. Some day...

With the way all the media companies have started their own streaming services, cable tv is starting to make sense again from a cost standpoint if you want to have access to everything that cable gives you.

However, I have just kind of found that I watch less TV in general by not having cable. Don't really miss it. Sports are tough, but you can a la carte your way to what you need, and the antenna comes in very handy.

Sports is most of what I watch. ESNP, ESPN2, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, Big Ten Network, Olympic Channel, etc...

If sports is the hardest thing to deal with after cutting the cord then I am not super motivated to do it just to avoid being seen by strangers as "old".

I think the advantage that the YouTube TV's of the world have over traditional cable is you get all of your above sports networks and you only have to pay for them a month at a time. And no set up. You buy it on your phone or laptop and you have the game on your TV in 30 seconds.

I am in the process of cord cutting. I have youtubeTV, did not know that I can add sports like that.

Eh, no. He wasn't even remotely close to being that.

KC will finally land a FA WR this offseason. I'd put my money on Roethlisberger retiring and Juju signing with the Chiefs. I think he inky went back to PIT for Big Ben's last hurrah.

Trent Green the color in this Pats Jets CBS game.

Trent Green was underrated in KC.
He needed a defense to be competitive.
Instead he plays Peyton Manning and the Colts dont ever punt.
