Hot tubs
Re: Hot tubs
In general I do not enjoy them but there are times where they are exactly the right thing. My back was pretty wrecked when I went out to CO over Labor Day and an hour in the pool and hot tub had me feeling much better.
I would never want to own one, though. I have enough maintenance to do around here.

Re: Hot tubs
I don’t love em but if it’s cold out and I’ve had a few coors, I’ll have a few more in a hot tub.
Re: Hot tubs
hot springs cool hot tubs not so cool. but ill jump in one occasionally after a few beers.
years ago, I woke up at about 5:30am after a party at a cabin and went out and found my buddy floating face down in one. I pulled him up and he started coughing....turns out he passed out in the hot tub seconds before I woke up. I thought he was dead.

Actually, way different. Heated pools are heated to bring chilly water up to comfortable levels. Hot tubs push the upper limits of temp comfort at the other end of the bell curve.
Plus, pools allow the utility of swimming. With a hot tub, you can’t do much more than just sit there til you overheat.
Re: Hot tubs
they're pretty nice when you're sore.
I dont like public ones however. I dont like public pools either.... or the general public.

Hot tubs are fun, even when you are alone.

I was hoping someone would say it.

Re: Hot tubs
Hot tubs are sorta like saunas. I mean after a workout, I'm already sweating profusely, why would I want to get in a sauna or hot tub and sweat more? And when old men are in there with not even a towel around; gross. Don't need to see 70 year old saggy balls.

^^^
I guess the massage water jets can be nice.
But yeah, hot tub or sauna, I tend to overheat and wanna be out within 2 minutes either way.
And yea one time I was the first responder for a naked old dude who had a heat stroke in the sauna…kinda left me with a bad impression since
