I'm not going to hit the panic button just yet on this defense but the glass case has been removed. They are TERRIBLE against the run and even worse they are trending to be last in the league in the red zone again. I'm try to compose myself and remind that the year the Chiefs won it all they lost to the Texans and Colts at home.

Andy, is good for at least once a year were you scratch your head and wonder. You knew the Ravens were going soft and you try and run the ball. Keep the ball in the hands of your best player. I get why but don't you feel better in the shot gun with Mahomes than you do trying to have your rookie center get to a second level block he had already whiffed on before.

This is frustrating but it is only the second game of the year. Remember last year the Chiefs were consistently the best team and they didn't win the Super Bowl. Winning in this league is about attrition and getting breaks.

I would have secured the ball running in the fourth quarter.
OK.

I would be in the hospital from the first hit I encountered in the first quarter.

I mean looking at the Chiefs early season schedule you knew it was going to brutal. It is one game. Hell, they very well may lose to the Chargers next week and be in last place in the division. It doesn't matter. They will still get in the playoffs and with 15 you always have a chance. That is all you need.

Two arms in a cast and take a damned knee. I mean that is football 101 to secure the ball at the end of a game. Never run unsecured into the line. There are fumbles and then there are career ending mistakes. CEH is no Pooka. Crazy that Pooka is on a practice squad and CEH is scuffling and missing cuts. And fumbling in a key game. His value is one loss above replacement with anyone else tonight. The SEC can take a flying bite out of our ass.

I love Mahomes but he can’t make that throw to give up a pick. He knows and will learn from it.
Townsend, once again under pressure caved.
Defense, we know is bad. Really bad.
Reid, ‘It starts with me and I’ve got to be better’ does need to be better.
CEH, has to hold on to the ball
Creed, has to make that block.

Yeah Creed whiffed on the interception. Had a bad game generally. Rookie. CEH is not a rookie though.

The Chiefs need to lwt Frank Clark go and get a DE that can be more disruptive. Clark won on some plays but not at nearly.a high enough rate for his salary cap hit. Chris Jones must really like him.

Everyone on the team had a decision or play that led to the end result. They just didn't play well enough tonight and the home crowds are back to pump.a little extra energy into their team. KU hoops will pick up three wins next season just getting their crowd back.

Baltimore is very well.coached.

Sorenson too. He can't cover any more. The last call on Honey Badger was crap too. If Butker misses the winning FG I would have felt okay. Losing like that is garbage. Tough tough schedule doing its intended damage though.

Meh. They wasted timeouts and really should have lost by 14. Chiefs lost their composure. Including Reid.

It was. Blown games usually are . Wasting that number one on CEH made the difference. Baltimore's three scrubs did fine. Defense is where KC needs to always focus.

The Chiefs schedule is too brutal to give away any wins. I think the Chiefs will be hard pressed to win the division. Denver is playing an easy schedule and Vegas is for real.the Chargers are a great team too. Brutal. Tonight spells real trouble because injuries will have to follow playing almost all playoff teams over and over.

CEH definitely needed to carry that ball in that situation with two hands.

I see the logic in that run though. 2nd and what, 4? Just over a minute left. CEH averaging over four a carry. Make the Ravens think about using that timeout. He gets a first down and we are in kicking range likely Baltimore now has no timeouts.

Some Chiefs fans are out of practice on how to handle a close road loss vs. a good team. Yeesh.

Lots of adjustments to make moving forward. As I said before, every good team has some warts and things to improve.

I love Patrick, but his little brother is a tool.... here is a video of him dumping water on a ravens fan last night after the loss. He's so soft.
