If I'm in the hospital, I do not want my caregivers to be unvaccinated. They have to take the flu shot every year to protect those they care for, this is no different. If healthcare workers refuse to follow the rules they should not be in healthcare.
if I'm in the hospital I would rather have an unvaccinated nurse or doctor working on me than a national guardsman.
They don't just put any national guardsmen into nursing positions. You have to have the degree.
You still have not answered the question about what the difference is between a required flu vaccine and a required covid vaccine.

This is like a windstorm knocking down a couple dead branches. That seems bad at the time but it's better than having an entire tree fall on your house in a few years.

The nursing profession will be better for this. Get rid of lousy, ill informed nurses, and keep the good ones. Make it clear that the profession won't accept antivax bullshit.
I only came to kick some ass...

I don’t think they are putting random National Guardsmen in hospitals as TDub is likely alleging. From my reading, the NG people coming into serve recalcitrant healthcare workers are fully qualified to provide medical care.

Edit- just saw that 99 added the same point

the flu vaccine isn't required for employment. It is recommended. I know several nurses that don't get the flu vaccine (most of those have gotten the covid shot but still didn't get the flu shot)

The arent. This is politics friends. If they were they would make it very public for some kind of publicity stunt to promote vaccinations

This makes no sense whatsoever; being publicly-vaxxed is a loser move on the right. Look at the lengths some Fox "personalities" go to not publicly admit they're vaccinated. Look at the lengths Trump went to to conceal the fact of his own vaccination.

Because of people like them, being vaccinated is seen by many as weak and something less-than-lib-owning.

Because of people like them, rubes have died.

Same stupid logic as "many people are saying."

It's simply true that the only people who go out of their way to hide their vaccinated status are on one side of the fence. And that they do so because it is "popular" to resist vaccination, among rubes. And that rubes have died, and are dying, because people they listen to are hiding their vaccinated status.

Actually, the flu vaccine is required.

Not sure of the questions you want answered but I'm no fan of imminent domain and taking people's property. At the risk of going all Qousdhal, I think it is mostly used by those with power to take from those without.

Is the person you got vaxxed for sick and/or elderly?
Both. Dying of cancer. Likely has a month or two left. Just how life works. I would never expect a single person out there to get vaccinated (or do anything differently) on his behalf. Especially strangers. If I can be realistic about something so close to home, there's no reason for all of you to be so damn sensitive about everything all the time
I'm truly sorry the person you care about is dying of cancer.

3 questions......

1. If you sincerely feel - "The world should not be built around the sick and the elderly. Vulnerable people die, always have always will. Its better to be realistic than sensitive", then why did YOU bother to get vaccinated?

2. Do you feel since "vulnerable people die" we should not give a shit about them and simply write them off as being dead before they die?

3. You said, "there's no reason for all of you to be so damn sensitive about everything all the time".
Do you really feel there is "NO reason" for ME to be sensitive about MY and those I love and care about's health and well being?

Again, I have no idea what you are talking about. If I'm in the hospital, the last thing I'm worried about is who my nurse voted for.

Is that a serious question? If so and you really care, a simple Google search MIGHT help answer it.
I know a couple of months ago there was a "push" in the House for Republicans to NOT divulge their vaccine status.

I know you have to scratch your particular itch, but Trump hid the fact of his vaccination for months, and Hannity hid the fact of his for an unknown period of time (while sowing doubts for ratings).

Either one being immediately candid absolutely would have saved lives.

Their push was about medical privacy, which until now has always been a thing most people thought was good in many/most instances.

Like i said, Hannity Tucker and loads of other Republicans are on TV every single day admitting they're vaccinated. I've never felt being vaccinated was a "loser" move for Republicans, only that a vaccine mandate for covid specifically was a "loser" move for Republicans.

pretty sure 100% of Dem congress says they'e vaxxed.

and the majority of Pubs too. And the rest of the Pubs are not saying they aren't vaxxed, even tho it would get them brownie point with the randys. They're simply not answering.

cuuz as has been mentioned, being publicy vaxxed is a looser move for Pubs. So the Majorie types screaming BUT MAH HIPPA or whatever about it, aren't doing so cuz they're afraid to admit they aren't.

I mean, what next, you expect pubs to be cool with wearing masks too?!
