However, as a longtime insider in the tumultuous Trump years, Grisham's book is attracting attention ahead of its publication next week.

One frequent target of Trump's anger, the Times quoted the book as saying, was chief White House lawyer Pat Cipollone because he'd warn Trump that he was looking to do things that "were unethical or illegal. So (Trump would)... scream at them."

Sometimes, Trump's displeasure took bizarre turns, Grisham was quoted saying.

On one occasion, she was summoned on Air Force One to hear Trump push back against the unflattering description of his penis as resembling a "mushroom" by pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels.

To calm Trump's moods, a handler known to White House staff as the "Music Man" would play him Broadway tunes, including "Memory" from the long-running hit show "Cats," the book claims.

… Grisham says the visit was merely for a "very common procedure," which she hints was a colonoscopy. However, Trump refused to go under sedation because that would have meant handing power for a short time over to his vice president, Mike Pence, and he believed this would be "showing weakness," the Times quoted her as writing.

Yea.

I can’t get over the thought of Trump, laying on an exam table, awake, conscious, trying hard to maintain some steely-eyed tough guy look, while he takes it up the ass.

You'd have to think it'd be at least somewhat dangerous to be awake during that kind of procedure.

I mean, this is coming from a White House insider Trump inner circle source, who previously kept her mouth conspicuously shut, out of fear Trump would make her sound like a loonatic.

And new details and stories with this one, but still congruent with everything we’ve seen outta Trump all along.

But yeah, maybe it is BS, and she is just some disgruntled former employee.

If that’s the case, at the very least, man does Trump have a lotta disgruntled former employees

And either way the “disgruntled former employee” defense isn’t exactly a good look

I don't know. Being too chickenshit to (1) admit someone's up your butt and (2) hand over the reins for a few fucking hours, seems pretty on-brand. Especially so considering that there would be significant public health gains in a person of influence with his base communicating to that base that colonoscopies are good and not scary and normal.

Oh, I am sure that it's what he told everyone in his inner circle who wasn't in the room and you can guarantee that Grisham wasnt in the room. That doesn't prevent it from being BS. He lies to his inner circle, his wife, his kids, everyone.

For as long as I live, this will never boggle my brain. What a country of morons we are. I remember what an embarassment it was for just voting Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jessie Ventura in as governors of states. The good old days.
