Not for me.
Then you are blind. its been the biggest political event in this country since 9/11. Bigger IMO
It shouldn't be with regard to whether a person gets the vaccine.

randylahey wrote: Sat Oct 02, 2021 1:33 am What you are claiming about me (a vaccinated person who is for people's right to decide if they want to get vaccinated) is that i am anti-vax.

That is the equivalent of you accusing someone who is pro choice in regards to abortion
of being anti-baby and not wanting any babies to be born.

once again. you have no argument
You're posting record says otherwise.

You clearly don't understand simple math or epidemiology. You're spreading bullshit and you're being called on it and melting down about it.
You're living in an alternate reality, because my argument since I began posting was that I am vaccinated, am pro vaccine (or staying unvaccinated, I really don't care) and most importantly I am for people having the right to make their own medical decisions

I'll agree with you for once there. But sadly it is for a lot of people. Because that is the disaster that has been created by our failed political system using covid to grapple for power

PHD I have never really made a stand for or against the vaccine, my entire argument has always been about protecting peoples right to make their own medical decisions. In no way is that anti-vax. If you want to accuse me of being anti-mandate then yes absolutely I am

You keep claiming this, but if you actually read any of my posts. I have always said the following:

1) I am vaccinated
2) I have no issue with people getting vaccinated, nor do i have any issue with people choosing not to
3) MOST IMPORTANTLY PEOPLE SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE THEIR OWN MEDICAL DECISIONS

it can't be explained any more simple than this. that is where i stand. always has been. can you comprehend this? In no way is that an anti-vaccine stance

yes my posts do speak for themselves. pro-choice for freedom to make your own medical decisions. that has been consistent all along (seriously what part of this is confusing for you?)

“that is the kind of shit the nazis were doing to the jews back in the day”

Ok.
Can we not with this?
My god.

The nazis imprisoned Jews, forced them into slave labor and murdered them by the millions.

What is happening is nothing like that.

Vaccine mandate is the wrong way to go about this imo except for clear reasons for much needed increased safety because of risk.

randylahey wrote: Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:48 am The point is nothing about covid justifies totalitarian medical mandates on people that don't want them. I don't think anything could happen ever that would justify a government coercing/mandating medical treatments on a whole population. it is just flat out wrong. that is the kind of shit the nazis were doing to the jews back in the day
The Nazis literally labeled the jews as disease carriers, claimed they were responsible for the spread of typhus. They tried to convince people they needed to cleanse the world of jews to cleanse and protect the population from disease. they often used propaganda like this against their political opponents. Have you ever researched history? It's important to learn from
And yet you probably voted for Trump. Amiright?

There shouldn’t be a need for mandates. That’s the thing…

Thats a very fucked up but interesting question lol. I see what u did there
Yea.

I guess I’m being my usual smartass and using the talking points from one to ironically illustrate the other.

Which is to say, beyond “my body my choice,” I dunno if there really are many parallels between the issues of abortion and vaccination.

The REAL irony is, how many anti-vaxxers also identify as “pro-life”

I find it odd how little overlap there is between those 2 groups in this country. seems like a good amount of anti vaxxers are anti abortion. and a lot of the "my body my choice" crowd when it comes to abortion is all for vaccine mandates. Feels like only the free thinkers of this country take the middle ground

just goes to show how many people base their beliefs off of political affiliation instead of coming up with it themselves (or let religious beliefs complicate things)
