Re: Lower back pain
so I happened upon about 3 cords of black locust. Which is wonderful....gets me halfway there for the year.
But.....that shit is as hard as the steel in the damn maul. and its a chain killer.
if my back doesn't hurt today its going to Monday. I might be crawling to work on Monday.

Re: Lower back pain
why don’t you invest in a more automated option?
sounds like you go through enough wood to make it worthwhile

Re: Lower back pain

Re: Lower back pain
this particular set of logs has been debarked....so that helps with the thorns....but thorns burn too. Just sucks to handle.

Re: Lower back pain
Ffs I jinxed myself. Hurt my back this weekend. Now taking the family to the state fair today so I get to hobble around like a stiff piece of lumber. I need one of those motorized handicap chairs. Or a stroller.

Re: Lower back pain
I'm pretty sore as well this morning. Helped a friend put some support jacks in her crawl space Saturday, never fvcking again. I was laying on my back to get one of them installed, then I rolled over on my stomach so I could see better and my right upper ribs rolled onto a brick or something that was protruding under the plastic, freaking still sore in the ribs and my back, and my neck is a little kinked.
Re: Lower back pain
Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

lol.
Re: Lower back pain
I may need to ditch my 2 year old nectar memory foam mattress and get something firmer, any recommendations? Last night I slept in my basement (storms scare my boxer and I have a day bed down there with a very, very firm mattress). My back feels so much better. Could just be a coincidence, I don't know. I always thought memory foam mattresses were good for side sleepers, but I don't know anymore.
Re: Lower back pain
I’m still stiff as a board today. Ugh.

Re: Lower back pain
It sucks, that's for sure. Most of it's my fault, helping my friend install jack supports in her crawlspace (which means all she did was hand me tools while I crawled around and maneuvered on my back).
I did a google search, and nectar is still ranked in the top 10 for people with back pain and are side sleepers, so I don't know what to do. I mean I spent $800 for the mattress and hate to pitch it and then spend $2k on a different one...sigh.
Re: Lower back pain
A firm mattress is probably best for the back when you install the jack in her crawlspace. Memory foam is best later though.

was gonna say, though, that something else that’s helped me is sleeping with my mattress-side leg extended straight while the opposite leg is bent at the hip as knee (as it would be when seated). this has turned out, by far, to be the most comfortable position for me, and alleviates any soreness in hips/lower back
