Chicago has an indoor mask mandate. The building I live in has a mask mandate. Signs posted everywhere that wearing a mask is required to be in any "common area" as well as the elevators.
Last night I waiting for an elevator and there was a guy (my guess is early 20s) not wearing a mask.
Elevator doors open and a guy (my guess is early 20s) not wearing a mask gets off the elevator.
Gutter being Gutter (I wouldn't say I was polite but I was not rude either), "You guys not wearing masks - do you feel the city mandate and the building rule doesn't apply to you?"
Them - No response. No smile, no snarl, no nothing.
I just let it go after that. What else was I supposed to do?

I said this 18 months ago and I probably say it 3 to 5 times a week.....
It seems we have a large portion of teens and 20 something year olds who simply don't give a fuck and feel rules don't apply to them. WHY?
I assume it's much more prevalent in places where kids come from "entitlement" but I figure it's pretty much a country wide issue.

Its called being realistic. Covid doesn't pose a threat to him. When the old people now were in their 20s they didn't give a fuck about getting people older than them sick either

Considering that the human population has been inflating exponentially, that's no surprise. Why don't you post the world population estimates for those times too. Would make covid look like nothing compared to some of those farther back

Ok, now I'll be "realistic".
A) Covid DOES pose a "threat" to him. There were TWO hims that I referenced in my post. Covid poses a threat to everyone. Just varying degrees.
B) Am I an "old" person? If so, I had a grandmother who was dying of breast cancer who lived with us (my father, mother, and I) and I pretty much took care of her because my parents were trying to run a business at the time.
I sure as shit gave a fuck about getting her (and other people) sick. Just as I did when I was spending time visiting my father in the hospital while he was awaiting a heart transplant.
C) Don't get me wrong, I was hardly a perfect kid in regards to caring about other people but I will say yet again, I can't help but notice (because I am reminded every day) that there is such an abundance of fuck you rules don't apply to me teenagers and 20 something year olds right now. More so than when I was a teenager and in my 20s? I can't say for sure but it definitely seems like it to me.
