Pandora papers

Anyone dove into these yet?

South Dakota’s a tax haven?

How come no freeloading rich people in the west were named?

(The call is coming from inside the house.)

The United States’ wealthiest citizens — including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who owns The Washington Post; Tesla founder Elon Musk; Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates; and billionaire investor Warren Buffett — do not appear in the documents.

Financial experts said the uber-rich in the United States tend to pay such low tax rates that they have less incentive to seek offshore havens.
I can tell you from experience that it's not just about taxes, it's about the relative opacity of US legal entities (which has its pros and cons, from a policy perspective).

Ah.

Makes sense.

I kinda doubt Merican rich people-owned media would give much press to media making Merican rich people sound bad.

Eh, the Post is pretty left-leaning, and hasn't pulled punches with Bezos.
