I've read that both Pulisic and Reyna are on track to be good for November.
I like Arriola's activity because he's always coming to the ball but he's not a threat creatively.
Pops in, gets the ball, sends it back out safely.

Imagine if we had peak Clint Dempsey to pop into that lineup.

I hate the bi-annual deal. Love the Euros, Copa America and everything else in-between the World Cups.

Don't expand the field.
Don't make it every two years.
Don't have a World Cup in Qatar.

Don't be dumb.

Is it weird to do it every 3 years? I'd go for that.

I guess - better than every 2.
What's wrong with 4?
I think it's perfect.

Give a nation enough time to change their squad, build youth and qualify without f'ing up professional squads.

I love the World Cup, but really nothing about the fact that it is every 4 years plays into that for me.

Every year is a logistical nightmare, 2 the same way. Plus, it waters it down.

But, I'd love to see it more than 2x a decade and get more chances to attend one or several.

If you have something happen all the time, it looses it's importance.

"Almost all soccer fans look forward to the World Cup, but its rarity is what makes it such a spectacle...If Christmas or Thanksgiving came every day, people would be sick to death of turkey. Likewise, a World Cup every two years could make the whole thing that little bit less exciting. So why are so many federations in support of it?...Money is one [the] reason."

Yeah it's all because of money. Nothing more and nothing less.

Oh of course it's money. I, as a fan, don't care about that aspect. I do like watching it and want more chances to go, so 3 is good with me, but would have no issue if they keep it at 4.

Every 2 is too many. Over a decade, right now we have 2. Every 3 would mean we'd have 3, every 2 would mean we'd have 5. Way too many.

I think it'll come down between KC and Denver ( since Chicago apparently is out of the running ).

NYC, LA, Atlanta, Dallas, Seattle, San Fran, Boston, Miami, DC.

Fighting for 2-3 remaining spots:
Denver, KC, Philly ( NYC ain't that far ), Nashville ( Atlanta ain't that far ), Houston ( already got Dallas ).

me too

it’d be nice to see KC get it, even though i’m no longer in the area

it just seems like fan support for soccer generally is so high in the metro

I think KC is probably on the outside looking in. One of those things where we will tell everyone we were first runner up. I hate to say it, but Nashville probably has the better bid.

I don't think they leave the middle of the US empty.
So it could be Denver, Philly, Nashville.

This isn't exactly a sector devoid of corruption, so I'm not mad if KC slips a few bucks and a rack of ribs under the table.

I think KC is right on the cut line. In the hypothetical scenario where it's KC and Nashville on that line together...is KC really all that much at a disadvantage?

Nashville is clearly the better entertainment and downtown. No question. And Nissan being directly across from downtown means the accommodation questions are answered (and Nashville's own suspect transportation rendered irrelevant).

But it definitely doesn't have the soccer bona fides, or facilities.

KC is going to be a base camp spot for a major team (US..?) But that’ll be fine.
