Don't forget to bring a towel!

Somewhat short version of what happened.
3 women, 1 gay guy, and I went out to a restaurant (they had drinks) and celebrated my upcoming birthday.
After, they picked up some alcohol and we went back to the gay guy's apartment. They got hammered. One of the girls was in town from NYC but used to live in Chicago. She texted a guy she used to hook up with and he responded. He was coming to pick her up at the gay guy's apartment.
The gay guy is going to dress as a Playboy bunny for Halloween. We decided to fuck with the guy who was coming to pick up the girl. He put on a blonde wig and high heels and we decided he and I were going to play the role of her father/s (mother?) and go meet the guy outside when he picked her up.
She actually didn't mind and thought it would be somewhat (if not completely) funny.
We all rode down in the elevator and the person working the security/reception desk looked at him (the gay guy) in complete puzzlement. He turns to her and says with great enthusiasm, "My daughter is going to lose her anal virginity tonight and I'm so excited for her"! The security/reception person basically went in to shock and I practically fell on the floor laughing.
We went outside and the gay guy walked up to the guy's car (SUV) and started talking to him as if he was actually our friend's mother/father. Purposely going overboard and being over dramatic in asking him what were his intentions with his daughter, telling the guy to have her back at a reasonable hour, to respect her, use protection, etc.
The look on the guy's face was complete confusion. Didn't know if he was being pranked or not.
I kept telling to the two other women that the guy must really be desperate to get laid because I felt any normal person would tell her to get the fuck out the car and take off.
Well, I guess you had to be there.

So this belongs in the professionalism thread but for the totally random plot twist at the end.

But, oh man. For the first time in my career, I hung the phone up on someone. It was an awesomely incredibly difficult one of yall who has been a douche to me and my staff all week.

He called last week to scream and swear about how his room was like a “prison cell” but wouldn’t say why, except for he thought it would have a better view from the patio.

He called again to describe the room as a “lawsuit waiting to happen,” and that the only remedy was to gut the entire building. When I tried to have him identify issues we could address for him, he went all CoyDC again. He demanded a refund, and I offered to cancel the remainder of his stay without penalty if he would like to go find other accommodations. He said no, he didn’t want to leave, the only appropriate resolution was to refund him in full, for his lawsuit prison cell conditions that he chose to remain in anyway.

Finally I got him to spill the beans on this here prison: there was a light fixture on the wall that he thought was crooked, and also he didn’t think there were enough dressers in the unit, among a couple other like sooo totally dire issues. We brought him another dresser, and straightened out the light with a leveling bubble and everything.

Each time he called, it got referred to me, who maintained a very professional “there’s no need for language like that sir” combined with doubling down on what issues can we actually address for yall.

So when he called this morning to announce he was finally leaving a day early after all, and promptly starting the conversation with a bunch of F bombs, I just said I wasn’t gonna let him treat us like this no more, and click.

And as for that plot twist - one issue he kept bringing up that we DIDN’T address, was replacing the countertops with granite ones like the ones he saw at some place in Aspen, which of course made me think, where’s TJ when you need him?

Tell the fuckstick you know Gutter and he's (me-Gutter) been made aware of his (the fuckstick's) actions.

Gutter got guttered today. Hard!

1) Was invited to be on a bus for the Sky parade and then sit up front for the "rally".
Had to decline because I had a conference call scheduled for this morning.
Of course the call got cancelled/postponed.
2) Someone electronically filed MY taxes that was NOT me nor my accountant. Accountant went to electronically file on me behalf and the IRS wouldn't accept it being that they claim I already filed.
Anyways, I received an email from the accountant THIS MORNING stating they were going to SEND me the documents to sign and then file a "paper" return and it had to be postmarked by 10/20/2021.
I responded asking how was that going to work? We decided upon using a messenger.
Received the return, signed it, put it in the envelope, and brought it to the post office.
OOOPS! There was a part of the return that I noticed AFTER the fact that was a mistake. As Plano would say, "JFC"!
3) In the middle of all this my wifi went down in my apartment. 3rd time in less than a month it was down for an extended period of time. Had work shit I had to do on my computer and numerous "drops" for shoes that I was unable to use my phone to purchase - and it was basically fcfs and I got shut out. Not that big of a deal but I could have made money buying and selling the shoes.
4) Try and call Xfinity to ask why the wifi has gone out 3 times the past month and what if anything is being done to fix the issue permanently. I can't get through to a human. Too many automated questions. Finally I figured out what I needed to do to manipulate the system and speak with a human. After a 30 something minute wait, someone answered and asked me if they can put me on a brief hold. Ok.
Yep, we got disconnected and they never called me back.
5) Went to Whole Foods to pick up my favorite chicken. Of course they didn't have it today.
Grabbed some "seasoned beef burgers", made a salad at the salad bar, and bought a bunch of fruit. Had a trainee working the check out line and she was struggling big time. I was as nice as could be but then the person behind me started going off on her. Very upsetting and unsettling for me to witness. I felt terrible for the girl. She was trying her best.
6) Get back home and smell fresh paint in my hallway. My favorite neighbors for the past 6 or 7 years moved out and they were painting the apartment. I knew they were moving eventually but didn't know so soon. Would have liked to have said goodbye to them. Found out who is moving in. My LEAST favorite pair of dudes in the building. Complete douchebags.
7) Go to eat the salad and I'm wearing a brand new white shirt. Yep, got salad dressing on the shirt. Shirt is probably ruined.
8) I have many "disposable" masks but only one "nice" mask that I wear occasionally. Go to throw out some boxes while wearing the "nice" mask and the strap breaks. It's a "one of a kind" mask. Least of my worries but the icing on the cake today.

I didn’t mean to whine about yall, but in hindsight that was way too much setup for a countertop joke.

Moving right along, doctor’s office stories part one!

so I’m at the doctor getting a physical and they take my vitals. After measuring my height, I stand there with my arms spread wide.

What are you doing ousdahl?

Aren’t you gonna measure my wingspan too?

Uhhh

Is it just me or does this smell fishy?

They’ve had all sorts of LEO looking for him for weeks to no avail, then his parents take a quick gander and find this shit right away?

I guess now it’s a matter of confirming whether it’s him with dna or dental records or whatever.

i don’t know where this should go, but apparently a tejas school district is being sued for prohibiting boys from having long hair

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2 ... r-lawsuit/

School officials in Texas forced a 9-year-old boy to serve an in-school suspension for a month, deprived him of recess and normal lunch breaks, and banished him from campus to an alternative school — all to pressure the fourth-grader into getting a haircut, a new lawsuit says.

Still, the boy refused to obey what he believes is an unjust school policy that bans boys from having long hair.

The boy, identified as A.C. in court documents, is one of seven students suing a Texas school district for what they call a discriminatory policy that requires boys — but not girls — to wear short hair. The American Civil Liberties Union of Texas filed the federal lawsuit Thursday on the students’ behalf against the Magnolia Independent School District, which serves some 13,000 students about 40 miles northwest of Houston...
