Welcome Ernest Udeh
Re: Welcome Ernest Udeh
That sounds nice.
Then have sophomore Ernest or junior Zach up to speed for front court duties next.

Re: Welcome Ernest Udeh
if he comes back next year, i don’t think it means we were as successful as we’re hoping for this year
Re: Welcome Ernest Udeh
3 likely scenarios:
DMac all in as a super senior
DMac graduates and pursues his best available career options cuz that’s what graduates do
DMac has a beast of a year that makes him look like he might even belong on an nba roster next season, and declares for a draft in which his stock has risen
In order of which is best for KU hoops, it’s prob 3, 1, 2.

Re: Welcome Ernest Udeh
I don't expect anything like Dok's improvement to get drafted in the 1st round - but I do think he'll play well enough to be considered in the mid/late 2nd round - and since he's a senior, I bet he bounces.
Re: Welcome Ernest Udeh
Have we ever had a big, who played a lot, who didn't improve each year he was here?
Maybe Lucas made the least improvements from Jr to Sr year. Maybe Sasha Kaun?
I only came to kick some ass...
Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.

If we DON’T have DMac next year, what’s our frontcourt look like?
Sophomore Zach? Freshman Ernest? Junior Jalen?

Re: Welcome Ernest Udeh
Yea, I suppose some Tarik or Dedric type would work. We’ll be fine
Re: Welcome Ernest Udeh
My hope is that he is so good this year that he leaves because his tremendous skills and success leaves him assured of being drafted in the first round.

I still dunno if Dave has really found his identity as a baller yet.
His build suggests old school center, though his style almost wants to be more some kinda stretch forward.
Hopefully it all comes together

Re: Welcome Ernest Udeh
thanks to the transfer portal the roster will be very different every year. maybe not 10 new players on the roster like this season. but very different for sure.

Re: Welcome Ernest Udeh
Do we think Dave has an NBA future? Hard for me to see, right now.
He's got the athleticism, buy maybe a little too under the rim on offense and he has yet to blow me away on defense.
Hopefully a Final Four at minimum this year, so I could see a Dave/Clemence/Adams front court.

"No NBA team right now needs a Udoka.
His best bet is a Selby-like route. Find some team that likes his workouts enough to take a flyer, drafts him, then feels pot committed.
They watched him last year at the combine and he couldn’t keep up. They’re not going into free agency or overseas to give him a shot."
