A good running game doesn’t hurt either especially when you are running RPO schemes. That split second freezes d-lineman and LBs.

Could be related too, but Leipold on Saturday and again yesterday said the word "holistically" about 20 times. Or so it felt like it. He's big on each aspect of the game meshing together to create better success. Other staffs were focused too much on offense and not as much on defense. Too much one way or the other. Never a CEO type since Mangino. Leipold seems to understand you need all phases of the game to work well together. A good offense can't carry a bad defense all the time and a good defense can't carry a good offense all the time.

The sum of all parts is greater than one excellent part and multiple crappy parts.
