Hopefully Braun isn't scared to shoot this year.

Well, if he (or anyone else) is, they’re more likely to get the short leash treatment cuz we got options.

Then again, we said the same thing this time last year.

Then then again again, I have a lot more confidence in upperclassman D1 transfers, than I do true freshmen and juco players.

I think Braun is going to impress while playing the 4, even on defense.

Yea that’d be rad.

if Jalen doesn’t get his starting spot back, that means others are balling out.

And if that’s the case, I’m totally cool with the 6th man of the year going to “Dooey”

Should find out pretty quickly against MSU, they're going to have a big frontcourt.

If he gets abused we might see a lot of KJ.

I think we've seen enough from CB at the 4 to know he can hold down the spot for 3 games, 2 being against small schools. It's not the 5 spot where he had to play in the postseason after COVID set in.

The notion that Adams, who was considered the rawest of our recruits before Cuffe reclassified, will be thrown in his first game of his career against a big name opponent in Madison Square Garden--I don't know, seems pretty unlikely knowing Self's coaching history.

Adams could surprise people with some good minutes this year. Especially with jalen out. Hes surrounded by a ton of skilled players. All he has to do is go out there and be athletic. Play hard and try not to fuck up. Hes built for that

With JCL and Wilson out, who plays when Braun or Ochai are out? Do they play three little guards together? It's either that or play two bigs, and KJ would be seemingly the best there in terms of physical tools being able to guard their 4s.

If I know Bill Self at all, I'm betting on him thinking about two bigs that have 9 years of combined experience before a raw, true frosh if he's worried about having size down low. And that's assuming he's dead set on prepping/coaching to win this game at all costs, which we know from the past that's not how he coaches.

I also haven't seen that the redshirt rules did change for this season, and Adams is a shirt candidate. I like Adams energy and anything is possible, but history says we're going to see close to 40 minutes from Och and CB.

40 per position, right?

Except let’s call it 80 between 2 guards and 80 between 2 wings

C: Mac 27, Mitch 10, Cam 3

Wings: Braun and Och like 34 apiece, then 10 from JCL and 2 minutes of wildcard, maybe a freshman, maybe more wing, maybe Self trolling us with TwO biGs! just long enough to bring illy back.

Guard: Remy 35+, Dajuan 25, Joe 17, 3 freshies

It'll be interesting to see how the minutes are spread out if Cam gets his outside game going a bit and starts hitting 3's at a 35-40% clip.

Heck, it’ll be interesting to see how the minutes spread out if Cam gets tossed around even slightly less than Mitch

This is always a fun pic.

Braun looks just as big as Wilson. And Joe makes Dajuan look tall.

And while it’s cool that the seniors get to sit up front, I mostly wanted to see Mitch next to Cam

Or if he can guard anyone. Frankly, I picture that as being his biggest hurdle to minutes.

I guess I missed that JCL isn't playing. what's up with him?
