Kenosha
Re: Kenosha
I’ve been told to correct this:
It’s not the Arbery trial. We’re not supposed to refer to this as if it’s the black guy being tried. That guy’s the victim, not the defendant.
But on some practical level, it just has more name recognition that way, cuz few are as familiar with the McMichael/McMichael/Bryan trial.
But yea that trial seems even more damning. They had a damn confederate flag license plate on the truck they were chasing him around in, and the one guy was dropping N-bombs as he stood over a dying Arbery.

Re: Kenosha
i almost said mcmichael trial, but yeah...name recognition
could/should just call them the lynchers

Re: Kenosha
The doods who want CRT as it applies to the confederate flag displayed on their truck, but not as evidence against them in a hate crime trial
Re: Kenosha
The Arbery case (vs. trial) works just fine in my opinion. I personally would have no clue who McMichael is.ousdahl wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 4:34 pm I’ve been told to correct this:

I have a really strong feeling the Judge is going to play a bigger role in the Ky guy trial than any witness, expert, etc. will.ousdahl wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 11:17 am Judge Schroeder also on the bench referencing the Bible lol
So a shot from another gunman was fired in the seconds before Rittenhouse unloaded on the first guy.
Regarding that argument of self-defense, does a defendant have to show he made some determination that the gunshot came from specific perceived threat, or is he allowed to assume it was Rosembaum and start blasting?
Apparently the aerial surveillance vid was played in court too, but I can’t find more than still frames online
Stay tuned.

Re: Kenosha
Yea the judge seems like a clown.
Did something else come out tho?
I did see the first victim was bipolar, and was running around asking folks to shoot him.
A (armed, former marine) vigilante there and witness for the prosecution said he was a “babbling idiot,” but otherwise not a perceived threat.

One side is currently winning this trial - and it's not the prosecutors.
For example, you think this didn't leave an impression on the jurors?
Look at the Prosecutors - How fucking dumb can you be? The jurors watched that.

Re: Kenosha
Judge dismisses curfew violation charge, says prosecutors failed to present any evidence that a curfew was in place…wut
Re: Kenosha
I’d ask, once again, how a judge is even allowing a defense to lawfully argue self-defense when the defendant was not even lawfully possessing a weapon
but at this rate, the judge will dismiss that charge on the grounds that prosecution failed to provide evidence that Kyle had a gun

Re: Kenosha
so a forensic pathologist testified today that the first guy was first shot twice in the front, to the groin and thigh as well as in the hand, as if it was over the barrel; then shot two more times in the back and along the side of the head.
All four shots indicate the victim was more horizontal when shot. So either initially lunging or falling toward the shooter, then doubled over for the two shots to the back and head.
Take that how you will, cuz who knows how the jury will.
The the toughest charges to defend still seem to be the reckless endangerment. One guy testified he was so close to the first victim he had to jump out of the way and then shake his legs to make sure he wasn’t shot too. Then, the subsequent shootings, there were people all over the place.

Meanwhile, in Goergia
The cop who responded to the shooting of Arbery blows the defense’s whole argument to pieces.
That day, they didn’t mention “burglary” “trespassing” “citizen’s arrest” or “detain”
They told the cop they saw a black guy running down the street so they grabbed guns and chased after him.

Re: Kenosha
Can't believe the defense is allowing Kyle to testify. This can't go well.
Re: Kenosha
Taking a break because Kyle is crying too much!
Re: Kenosha
Kyle’s defense asks for a mistrial
Apparently over some fifth amendment drama, and also some questions that the judge did not permit as evidence
I think it had to do with some incident before the shooting that the prosecution tried to use to argue Kyle went to Kenosha looking for trouble, and the judge didn’t allow it as evidence

Re: Kenosha
“This big, long AR-15 really got in the way whenever you tried to help someone, right,” Binger asked.
“Sometimes,” Rittenhouse answered, adding, “If I could have legally carried a handgun, I would have carried a handgun…instead of a rifle.”
When Binger asked Rittenhouse if he knew “the capabilities” of the weapon, Rittenhouse replied, “I knew that it could shoot, and I believe from a distance, I don't know how far I'm not an expert on AR-15s.”

Oh, and Kyle admitted he lied about being an EMT.
