It is a truly surreal moment in history when people condemn a frightened 17 year-old trying desperately to protect himself from being beaten to death and make martyrs out of people who, while rioting, looting, and wantonly destroying property, feel the need to chase down, assualt, and threaten the aforementioned 17 year-old. Wait, did said 17 year old grab an assault rifle and travel to another state to pretend to be an armed EMT who was only there to allegedly protect the property of people who never asked him to or whom he doesn't know?

You’re assuming that I think Rittenhouse did nothing wrong and should not face criminal charges. Not true. All I have said is that he should not be charged with murder. I think the jury, if given other sentencing options, will agree.

I don't think you'll find many people on here who condone rioting and destroying property.

If you find those people during a protest, prosecute them. But there have been hundreds of protests in the last few years that have included millions of people who have done so peacefully. The extremally minor percentage of those people who have broken the law during those protests should be held legally accountable for their actions.

Just like Kyle should be held accountable for murdering two people.
