i guess some would rather our roads and bridges continue to fall into disrepair, for the transition to more sustainable transportation to be stifled, and for those less fortunate to be roadblocked from easily accessing the internet

cutting fossil fuel subsidies seems to be a non-starter, and the american public would collectively flip their shit if the gas tax was raised (how the initial interstate highway system was funded). i’d be curious to know how psych would propose to pay for the things i referenced above

I realize that reasoning with Mich is futile but here goes anyway - how about giving opportunities for workers to be able work on said roads and bridges by providing affordable childcare? You know, like buying diesel for the trucks

I mean, the biggest concern for the greatest number of Americans right now seems more related to demand outpacing supply, along with a worker shortage. So this, just like with the Trump tax cuts, seems like the wrong time to try to juice the economy.

Unless you're arguing with pre-K that more people will get back to looking for a job if their kids are in preschool. If that's the case I would rather see that proposed/debated on its own merit rather than being lumped into a huge omnibus bill.
