Dogs
Re: Dogs
One dog i dog sat for a while back (and was a roommate dog, Kali aka Bad Dog) thought it was soo fun to jump on top of me, pro wrestling body slam from the top turnbuckle style, in the dead of night.
So I try closing the bedroom door and making her sleep in the kennel, or at least on the couch in the living room. That prompts her whining and/or barking at every little thing.
Eventually I found the only way to have a good night with Bad Dog was to power spoon her. A good conforming snuggle made for an uninterrupted night’s rest.

Re: Dogs
Thanks.
At least they found what it is. The worst they could have told me was "we still don't have any idea what's going on". Glad my oldest is home from school and will get a chance to spend a little time with her but it certainly hangs a cloud over the holiday weekend.

Re: Dogs
I'm really sorry to hear that, Twocoach. Hopefully you can do all you can to spoil her and make her feel as comfortable as possible.
If it comes to this point, you might consider doing what my friend convinced me of doing when I had to put by beloved pup down. My pup was always terrified of going to the vet, so I did not want to take him there to feel that again. Where I live, they have a traveling vet service where they will come to your home to perform the procedure. It is a little more expensive, but I am so glad I chose to do that so that my baby boy could go peacefully at home, surrounded by his toys and the people that loved him, without the anxiety he would otherwise go through from a trip to the vet. I can look into those options if you are interested in going that route and need someone to look for you. Again, I'm really sorry.

It happens, you've just got to learn from your mistakes and try to become a better human.
