Do we have faith in Vermes and crew to get us a goal?
Unfortunately, I do not.

We all saw that coming.

What does KC do with Vermes?
He gets us to the playoffs - and we're usually regular season competitive.
But then you just know this stuff is gonna happen. You KNOW it will.

RSL was better in the second half.
Vermes blows it again.

Just don’t think KC can get anything going better than Vermes. Teams would die to be as consistent as they have been over the last decade.

Bet the first year Vermes is not in charge, SKC will miss playoffs.

And probably for a few season after that. The post-Vermes era could potentially be ugly and I for one am not willing to hasten it. You don't want to be the coach that follows Vermes. You want to be the coach that follows the coach that follows Vermes.

The Reid/Self/Vermes through-line is really something. So much in common.

Which I suspect is just the natural consequence of being at the top of your field for 20 years.

Vermes just needs to change up how he approaches a season and put a little juice into his style. But, a masterful GM--he's going nowhere, and it would be a huge mistake to get rid of him.
