Black Friday Game Thread: KU vs Dayton

I mean, with our better teams, even if a Dayton-type opponent went on a second half run, we’d have the poise to make adjustments and still win the game prob by double digits.

This team tensed up, and never quite regained composure.

These guys just need to learn how to react to getting punched in the face

We went down by 7(?), and fought back and took a 3 point lead with our two lead guys making big clutch plays in the final minute. We regained composure and took the punch and threw our own.

But then it was bad coaching (and play) when trying to seal the win. The offensive foul play call and then leaving timeouts on the board.

It’s concerning to see how quickly we regressed back to playing tight.

That's one of the trademarks of a Self coached team during his time at KU. The tendency to get tighter than normal against shitty teams for really no reason. Dayton isn't even good.

Not that plus/minus is an awesome tool but DMac was a +8 yesterday while Jalen Wilson and Mitch were each a -10 and Harris was a -8. At least DMac played some defense while he was sucking at offense. Wilson and Mitch sucked at both ends of the floor.

Just watched the replay of the Dave charge call. It's on the softer side and I think most people want the refs to swallow the whistle in that situation but Dave doesn't need to bang the defender with that much force that far from the basket.

Another great thing about YouTubeTV is the ability to watch at .25, .50 and .75 speeds. Dave drills the dude.
