I mean, what you are told is based on who you listen to. With the original strain the moderna/Pfizer/J&J were 95/90/65 percent effective at preventing cases in the trials. With Delta the Israeli data indicated around 50%.

So, I wouldn't consider these breakthrough cases inconsistent with what I heard... But I can't speak for what you heard

Might have something to do with people being peoplish.

My wife said early on, we will be dealing with strains of this for the better part of our lifetimes.

But, what could she possibly know?

In October you had a 5.8X higher chance of testing positive if you were unvaccinated than fully vaccinated.

Boosters will really complicate the data.

Why? Israel seemed to get pretty good data about the efficacy of the boosters.

Because it creates 4 categories. Unvaxxed, single dose, double vaxxed, triple vaxxed.
4 categories is more complicated than 3.

Got my booster yesterday around Noon. Arm is sore, but I don’t feel as weird as after my 2nd dose where I got some chills…

And let me add how amateurish these Covid vaccine cards are… This time the pharmacist simply scribbled my vax info in ballpoint pen.

California and other States have a central vaccine record that you can download. It has a QR code and dates of vaccination along with the manufacturer. My booster was in mid November and it was already updated as of yesterday.

Are you saying only 30% are vaccinated or 30% are unvaccinated? Either way, I have a bad feeling the unvaccinated will continue to use the excuse that vaccinated people can and do still get Covid. Which of course is 100% correct. What they fail to comprehend or care about is how the vaccinated have a lower risk of major complications.

Really dumb excuses for not getting vaxxed:

I’m going to wait’n see. ??

We have a lot of allergies

I’m old and I’m going to die anyway

Let the people who really need it get the shot.?

I believe in freedom??

Note, partner and I are vaxxed to the max; Covid(3 shots, pneumovax, flu and Shingrix.
