Hard to say what the future holds for Emmett Jones. Perhaps he wants to move up the ladder, become an offensive coordinator, and eventually a head coach. As of today, he and Leipold are in Dallas recruiting.

It was just a matter of time before Coach Leipold got all his preferred coaches in the program and flushed out all the guys from the previous regimen. With that being said, maybe Emmett Jones and Lance Leipold have formed a bond that will keep Jones around for a while.

Another positive way to look at the scholarship breakdown for next season is that we will have 56 scholarship players who will be in at least their 3rd season of college football. 28 of those will be in at least their 4th season.

Obviously a lot will change between now and the 1st game, but it looks like KU might finally be on track to have a somewhat balanced roster. And, also import, a balanced roster that isn't due to bringing in a bunch of JUCO transfer to try and save a coaches job.

One of the possible transferred received an offer from KU. Miles Frazier, 6'5" 304lbs, from NJ was recruited by Buffalo before he went to FIU. Guessing it was someone on the current KU staff that was recruiting him to Buffalo. Big kid.

3 Buffalo players have entered the transfer portal this week. One is a grad transfer DL, one is a freshman OL who didn't play this year, and the other is a DL with 3 years of eligibility left. Have to wonder if one or two of those guys don't make it to Lawrence.

Could, emphasis on could, start the season 4-2.
How nuts would that be?
Or imagine needing a win @ ksu to get bowl eligible?

Only in dreams.

If (IFFFFF) next year Lance can get this team to 4-2 to start the year we might as well start building a statue, naming a street and telling Booth to back up the Brinks truck because his price just went up.

Getting ISU and TCU as early back to back home games is certainly a good thing

To your point I believe I read that she is a student manager?

Anyways, cool they were both there along with, it sounds like a large contingency of Jayhawks!

Ah I think you're right. I know she was being recruited there out of Free State but yeah I didn't see her name on the roster.

Steven Parker, former four star guy from the 'Cliff is entering the transfer portal.

Had really high expectations for this young man but it just never panned out.

We all have our opinions but he’s spot on and I’ve called it for a while now. Emmett Jones likely gone soon.
