breakthroughs seem to be not as rare as we were told.
I mean, what you are told is based on who you listen to. With the original strain the moderna/Pfizer/J&J were 95/90/65 percent effective at preventing cases in the trials. With Delta the Israeli data indicated around 50%.

So, I wouldn't consider these breakthrough cases inconsistent with what I heard... But I can't speak for what you heard
TDub also lives in anti-vaxx country. Think his county is still in the 30% range.
actually, surprisingly, its at 64% with 2 shots, 72% with 1 shot.

which i think is on par with the state

Another dumbdumb
I saw another article where his son claims his father got ill due to an “attack” from the “other” side.

Not sure who this “other” side is.

You're misinterpreting that. They're letting them get a booster after 3 months rather than making them wait a full 6 months to get the booster.

Got my booster yesterday, feel fine except some soreness in my arm. Didn't have any real side effects from either Pfizer shot and my booster was Pfizer as well, so hoping I don't feel like crap the next couple days.

I have had 3 shots. Nothing other than a sore arm and perhaps slightly lethargic after the 2nd one.
Makes me overthink and wonder if they injected a placebo in to me on any/all of the 3 shots.
I am not overly paranoid but I fully expect to get Covid in the next 3 months. Will be interesting to see how it affects me.

I had zero side effects from my booster, same as with my original vaccination.

48 hours after my shot it started kicking in. Then last night I had chills, fever 101, headache from hell, and aches all over. Fever started going down when I went to bed but I didn’t sleep for shit last night. Fever is gone this morning but I feel like I got hit by an 18 wheeler.

My 2nd dose side effects were not nearly this bad.

Our analysis capabilities on viral escape, something we specialize in at #Centivax as a broad-spectrum vaccine company, strongly indicates that severe loss of neutralizing antibody responses against #omicron variant from current vaccines can be anticipated and that boosting won’t help much. T-cells may fare better.

Our position is that Moderna, Pfizer and other vaccine developers would be well served to initiate manufacture of an #Omicron specific vaccine now without waiting for the neutralization results in 10 days. We are submitting our findings and the method we use as a means of providing earlier actionable intelligence on vaccine heterologous response capabilities against new variants as they arise.
