Yeah I saw Hawley rumored to be in the portal as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see Easters transfer as well, which is fine, the QB room seemed crowded this year even though the depth was tested. So Kendrick and Hawley transfer out and Fallin graduates. That gives us Daniels with Bean backing him up and the new signee Vasko with Easters 50/50 (based only my speculation/hearing nobody has been too impressed with him thus far).

Miles Kendrick transferring. May mean Bean stays on as our QB2?

Nick Williams, RS-SR OL has entered transfer pool.

Anthony Davis, HS CB has decommited.

Nice article on KU Sports regarding the signing class and scholarship situation. Original post updated again, my numbers say 83 scholarship players as of today. I thought Bean would want to transfer out, but it appears as though he's going to stay. He's the clear backup with no real competition.

Not sure it makes sense for Bean to transfer out at this point. He's already used his one free transfer so if he leaves KU he's going to have to sit out a year. Plus, he already red-shirted his first year at North Texas so he would need a team to extend him an offer based on the Covid waiver to have any eligibility left. If any other QB leaves, I wouldn't be shocked to see Easters go.

With the transfer portal players don't have to sit out a year anymore.

My guess is he stays because in todays football you need good, quality back ups and I'm guessing they will have wild cat or designed running plays to get him on the field. He is to good of an explosive athlete not to have him on the field for 5 to 10 snaps.

You only get one free transfer without having to sit out. Bean used his when he moved from North Texas to KU.

Yup. You are right. I thought you got unlimited transfers via the portal. Thanks for clearing that up.

Mom was NOT happy that KU got a transfer RB in Morrison. Sent out some tweets about it.

Staff kinda did that to end the year. Was in the backfield. He’s a more explosive Torrey Locklin. If they can work on that this spring, it’s definitely something to watch for in the fall.

There’s not many positions that a QB can move to besides WR. WR reads defenses, no now where holes in zones are, know what Qb is thinking on scramble drills and hot reads.

If a QB is athletic enough, it can be done, quite easily too.

Can never have too many running backs. Neal, Morrison, Hishaw is back, add in Locklin and maybe Bean as options.

Also, former walk-on QB Miles Fallin entered the portal to use his final year of eligibility.

Ideally you would love to see Bean as a WR but did is as frail as can be. I don't think he would last very many games.
