I was going to walk my dog, but I'm fearful a huge branch will break off from all the massive Oak trees in my neighborhood. My front yard is littered with broken branches...sigh.

Glad you're OK.

Tornado watch in Minneapolis on Dec 15. Nothing unusual about that. Climate change is such a hoax.

That thing was a monster. I heard from Defix on Tuesday morning about 60-70 mph winds in the Empire, then there were 100 mph winds on our job site at the Air Force Academy later that day. I was in Coffeyville yesterday on a roof and left about 2:30 PM. When I turned on the radio in the truck it was all lit up about the storm coming. I got to Burlington and could see it to the north and west. I was driving about 30 minutes in front of it all the way to KC. It caught me about the time I got to KCKS. I got inside my house about 10 minutes before the front hit us. About 45 minutes later we can smell smoke outside. Turns out we were getting the smoke from a grassfire 30 miles away on the KS side of the state line. I am waiting to hear the damage reports from Eastern CO and Western KS. This next week will probably be a busy one for roof inspections.

Glad you made it home safe japhy. I've spent the cold morning picking up branches and leaf bags for the City to pick up today, which will mostly likely be in 3-4 days the way the city operates. A huge branch from my neighbors Oak tree crashed into the street and I helped drag it out of the street, but he can mess with cutting it up, it's cold out there and I need to get to work.
I hope my roof is good. I just had a new one put on last summer. No hail here, just strong, gusty winds. I'm sure it's fine, but I might call the roofing company at some point just to have them check it out, just to cover my bases.

The older neighborhoods of Colorado Springs have a lot of trees down I heard. A friend is driving by our place this morning to see if we have any down in our yard, fingers crossed. I don't want to have to drive out there this weekend.

Yeah, we had gusts of winds over 90mph at the airport. It was crazy windy but we fortunately didn't have any damage. Frankly, we had so much damage from the July storm and did so much clean up work on our trees after that storm that we didn't have any sketchy limbs that would be prone to wind damage left on our property.

I was a block west of Main Street last night when I saw the bolt of lightning that took out all of Main Street. Add on to the weird ass weather a completely dark main urban corridor, and then a collision between a fire truck and SUV that left 3 dead and demolished the Riot Room in Westport.

We have an office in the Philippines that took a direct hit from a typhoon yesterday. Things are bad there. Lots of damage and power outages.

My bro's neighbors tree, which a part of had already had fallen on my bro's fence, fell on his own shed from the wind storm.
