I rode the elevator with coach Self a few years ago in Kansas City. When I told him I was from South Dakota he asked me which Dakota Boschee was from. I guess it's a common mistake.

Matt Hurt is visiting this weekend.

Could this be a complete turnaround weekend?

1. De Sousa cleared
2. Beat Tech
3. Get Matt Hurt committed for a next year's lineup of:

Dotson
Grimes
Agbaji
Hurt
De Sousa

Me too. He's a beast.

I'd say he chances at long term NBA success are limited...but he can make a ton of money overseas. He's injury prone, so coming back is a risk....but getting a free college degree isn't a risk. He will have to weigh his options, but testing the waters last year makes me think he's probably ready to move on.

Dok is still also only like 19. Turns 20 next Fall I believe.

Plus Dok is 19. He has another year to develop before NBA thinks he is too old.

Not that there's a decision to be made today (I think), but when we announced that Doke was done, Self said they weren't going to pursue a medical redshirt for this season. I don't know why you wouldn't do it, if there was a chance he's coming back.

Dok is in a tough spot. If he declares he needs to just go all-in. The thing is, he's going to miss all the combine stuff. So not really sure how he can improve his stock for this draft.

I am guessing most would tell him to come back to KU or go play overseas for a year.

The best thing for Udoka would have been to play this whole season and have a very realistic shot of being drafted in the 2nd round this summer. It's one of the most sympathetic injuries we've witnessed in Bill's time here.

Now, I think you just have to keep pressing on with entering the 2019 draft. Coming back seems risky. He's already fairly labeled as injury prone and a foot injury next year would seal his fate. Get the hand ready and start working for the draft.

...and go undrafted, and get on with the next thing (whether G League or otherwise).

I'm not being flip. That's just where he's at.

I'm with you guys. Just seems hard to justify coming back due to the injury concerns.

I do get a good feeling we see SDS here next year assuming he's deemed eligible. He need to put a full collegiate season together...

Maybe it is.

The ligaments in his wrists clearly hadn't matured.

Ya. He's probably not getting drafted by an NBA team.

He should come back. He is 19. He won't be drafted this year.
