Weird that "lenders" are included, doesn't make sense to me without additional details. No lenders that I know of lend money based on collateral values listed on the borrowers PFS. They have to order appraisals that value the property if they are FDIC insured. That is how banks/lenders determine collateral value. Not by taking the borrowers word for it.

I figured he was over inflating values with a crooked appraiser to benefit from more depreciation expense...or on the flip side finding an appraiser to under value them to benefit from less property taxes.

Weird to over inflate based on the limited details so far.
