Yes I heard this. And then as sparko said, Juenemann thing made it worse.

I don’t quite remember the Junemann thing.

Good news, I'm springing Mrs 99 from the hospital. Might be home by tip off.
They hooked her up with the good stuff.

Game time decision. Tweeted 26 minutes before tipoff. Don’t rush into it or anything

Had to give away my tickets for tomorrow because of work, and just found out that fucking Roi is going to be there. Damn.

Good to see Roy back in town. I hope the crowd gives him the ovation he deserves.

I've seen a lot of tweets/posts about how people hope Roy gets a nice welcome.holidaysmore wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 7:08 pm Good to see Roy back in town. I hope the crowd gives him the ovation he deserves.
That's weird to me because he's already been back to Allen and got a huge ovation. He left almost 20 years ago.
edit: for perspective, I think we established on here that you and I were HS class of 2004. Which means that at least frosh and sophomores today are further removed from Roy Williams than we were from Larry Brown when we were in the student section. I bet there's no one in the student section tomorrow night that ever remembers a Roy Williams coached team. Freshmen would have been born in 2003 and 2004. Crazy.

Roy will always be one of my favorite basketball people of all-time. UNC has been my 2nd favorite team for as long as I can remember.
Re: It's Game Day, Ladies and Gentlemen
I hated Roi.
Winning a title and beating him multiple times in the NCAA tournament made me not hate him.
He didnt leave in the best way but guy built KU to what it is today.

I dunno whether to make some comment about maybe there’s a sentiment to being back and a coaching camaraderie enough that he gets to audit a practice and teach Self modern offense.
Or, whether to hold strong and just say let’s boo that looser right outta the gym.

I am…fine…with Roy. I hope he gets a nice ovation.
I suspect my feelings - and those of many others - would be quite different if we didn’t follow him with the golden era of the program (which included big wins over him).
