Did pDub ban Psych?

A party who will remain unnamed e-mailed and let me know that there was conflict brewing about allegations that I have been banned, so I wanted to drop in and put to rest any rumors:

I am not and was not banned. I chose to stop posting several months ago for a couple of reasons.

1.) The older I get, the less I enjoy arguing for argument's sake. The reality is, nobody around here is going to change anybody else's opinion; ergo, it becomes an exercise in futility. That leads to reason #2 . . .

2.) The longer I involve myself in pointless arguments, the more likely I am to lapse into name-calling, rudeness, and overall stupidity. I always start out with good intentions, but somewhere along the way, I end up saying things I regret and of which I am ashamed.

My final breaking point was the post I made about the Supreme Court justice who was/is experiencing health problems. Almost from the moment I clicked "Submit" I felt like an idiot, and I realized that this is the one place in my life where I consistently do that kind of crap.

I hate it about myself; I intentionally stop myself from doing it in my "real" life, so it begged the question "Why continue to participate in pastimes that encourage me to keep doing things I don't want to do?"

So, I'm done/have been done/will continue to be done. Announced departures on chat boards are silly and usually draw the ire of the masses, so I exited unannounced, but when I got the e-mail and saw that it was being argued on multiple threads, I felt like I should intervene.

Best wishes to you all. Most of you (with a couple of notable exceptions) are decent, sane people who can maintain a modicum of maturity and humor even when you disagree, and I have appreciated the opportunity to interact. Enjoy the boards in good health.
