I also feel a lot of the complaints regarding Marcus were that preseason he was on Wooden watch lists and in the conversation for CPOY. Looking back, we should have ben smarter and realized that was asking too much.

Sure, Och has made a huge jump from Jr to Sr year, but how often does that happen? And even he showed glimpses that he could do it, just not consistently. Did Marcus ever even show a glimpse of being able lead a team, or was it all just "well, you're what we have, so you better do it".

"Did Marcus ever even show a glimpse of being able lead a team..."

I think it was at Oklahoma State where Dotson was out and he ran point. Stellar. That was kinda where I based hope--that glimpse.

I still can’t help but wonder what PG Marcus woulda looked like around a more complete team.

Last year had a lot of issues, and some of them may have come down disproportionately upon Marcus as a matter of blame the quarterback syndrome.

Marcus was a ball player…positionless
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

The notion that Marcus was guarding 4's is a hilarious misunderstanding of basketball.

Not to mention he has been an absolute perimeter defending force in the NBA and G-League.

If this roster was getting double digit ppg out of the point guard spot, oh man.

I wish every player on our team averaged 20pts per game.

We've never had a team have all 5 starters average double digits iirc.

Best offensive year was 2018, so maybe then. Udoka, Vick, Svi, Malik, D'tae.

I was surprised DJax was and Sherron wasn't.
