i don’t think i’ve ever seen a bigger man-crush…and that’s ok
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Re: 21-22 lineup
its not really a man crush. I just watched the kid play. he was as good as anybody in the ncaa tournament last year. hes quick strong and low to the ground off the dribble.. meaning he can get a first step and get by people and is too strong for them to recover. getting him comfortable and confident here raises this teams ceiling by a lot. he is a lot more talented than dajuan or pettiford

i stand by it too. yesefu was arguably one of the best playmakers in the entire ncaa tournament last year. this team needs playmaking. and he is on our bench. get him on the floor. seems pretty common sense to me. there is a lot he can improve on, but the skills are there. self lets see you do what you need to do to make it happen and make it fit in with this teamKUTradition wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 2:42 pm i stand by my comment

He played 2 games. He wasn't in the top 20 best players in the NCAA tournament last year.randylahey wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 3:08 pmi stand by it too. yesefu was arguably one of the best playmakers in the entire ncaa tournament last year. this team needs playmaking. and he is on our bench. get him on the floor. seems pretty common sense to me. there is a lot he can improve on, but the skills are there. self lets see you do what you need to do to make it happen and make it fit in with this teamKUTradition wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 2:42 pm i stand by my comment

He shot 16 for 43. A whopping 37%.
You're hung up on the fact he scored 47pts in 2 games and not realizing how he got to those points.
Luckily he shot 9 for 20 from 3, which is significantly over his career average, or those 2 games numbers would look much worse.
If we gave any of our main rotation players 43 field goal attempts they'd score 47pts too.
Re: 21-22 lineup
He was the best.

Remember all those threads where I challenged DMAC's athleticism? Somebody go back and delete those. TIA.

Re: 21-22 lineup
he played more than 2 games last season. he was drakes best player the last 2 months of the season, which he averaged over 20 a game. he was stuck behind upperclassman but when he got his opportunity he made the most of it. hopefully he can do that here too. did you watch the ncaa tourney games he was in? cause the defense was keyed in on trying to stop him and he was taking and making tough shots while being the name circled on the scouting report.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 3:29 pmHe played 2 games. KU sure as hell could have used him last year against USC when they beat us by 40. he was giving them problems. KU can use him this year too. Unfortunately we have to kind of rebuild his confidence and rhythm cause self favored the guys experienced in his system really hard to start the season

Re: 21-22 lineup
he actually played pretty solid. he routinely beat his man off the dribble. he had quite a few assists, and shouldve had more but braun kept missing lay ups and shit. and KU looked pretty awful in the first 10 minutes, ironically when yesefu came in and we had someone that was beating people off the dribble it opened the whole offense up. having a point guard with a quick first step changes the game, yes and remy have it, dajuan, despite all the things he does well, just isnt that quick

.118 Crimscore.
12 min, 0 points, 0-5 FG, 4 AST, 2 TO.
So...not really.

Re: 21-22 lineup
stats dont always mean much. most of the shots he missed were make able. he gets a little more comfortable out there and they are going down.
dajuan has had some pretty abysmal stat lines over about 30 minutes in games he played very well in
Re: 21-22 lineup
He's played in 57 college games. How much more time to get comfortable does he need? His Fg% at Kansas was 37% before today. It's even lower now.
The USC game is his shining moment. And they lost (and it wasn't close). And he needed 22 shots to score 26pts.
