The Bills were good and the Pats were bad last night. Bills are the most worrisome team in the AFC. And they get to play them next week 😬

One of his better coaching seasons would be something like in the top 3rd of his seasons.
I'd put this season as such.

Here's Mike Reiss:

Belichick has been to the Super Bowl in 33% of his seasons (9 of 27)

He's been to the AFC Championship game is 48% (13 of 27)

And those numbers include his 5 years in Cleveland.

But keeping illy'ing this one. A 10-7, wild card season with a 47-17 playoff loss is one of his best.

Mike Reiss thinks so.
I know you're good at Wordle - I guess you know more than Mike Reiss too - a guy who has covered the Pats for 25 years.

Hey, here's Shannon Sharpe.
Huh.

Again, coaching jobs.
Not best seasons.
There's a difference.

Bill Self won COY in 09.
It was not near his best season.

Oof, really scraping the bottom of the barrel when you turn to Shannon Sharpe.

Also, the Patriots this season have wins over

3-14 Jaguars
4-13 Jets (x2)
4-13 Texans
5-12 Panthers
7-10 Falcons
8-9 Browns
9-8 Chargers
11-6 Bills
12-5 Titans

But yeah, going to 10-7 and getting drilled in the playoffs by 30 points is better than going to the Super Bowl.

Yea, bottom of the barrel - just a hall of fame tight end, what does he know?
How about Rex Ryan?
You also know more about football than him too?

I really hope you want to set a precedent here.

Moving forward, for all arguments, you're on board with the stance that being a great player means you're now a great analyst? Cause this could be real fun.

Especially in the world of hot takes purely for the purpose of getting clicks that we live in.

Is Rex Ryan a player?
Is Mike Reiss?
How about Michael Smith?

lol, you backed off of that as quickly as possible.

Waiting for you to find a Nick Wright clip to support your dumb take next.

Keep thinking 10-7 with a 30 point playoff loss is better than a Super Bowl. It's just on brand for you, the king of bad takes.

So players, coaches and analysts ( one particular analyst who is dedicated to the Patriots and has covered them since Brady won his first Super Bowl ) all have said this is one of his better coaching seasons.

I'll safely side with them rather than the guy who said Joe Burrow would be a bust.

Huh.

Looks like Shannon Sharpe jinxed them. They wen't 1-3 in the regular season after that - and 0-1 in the playoffs.

How many more times are you going to repeat yourself?

Take your meds. Take a quick nap. Then wake up refreshed for the Chiefs game.

Life is great. Enjoy it.

And again, one of his better coaching jobs does not equal one of his best seasons.
I'm not arguing that this is one of his best overall seasons - but one of his best at coaching up his players.
This season is among his worst in terms of success.

Much of the Pats were new acquisitions, the primary one being the rookie QB, picked 15th overall.
And still they finished 6th overall in offensive PPG. And 2nd overall in defensive PPG.

Tom Brady is a good football player.
He left and promptly won a Super Bowl with another team.
His being on the Patriots was more of a factor to their Super Bowls than Bill.

Hey pdub, can you find us an article from October about how the 4-2 Chargers are one of the AFC favorites!

How many "experts" are there regarding the Patriots, and to a larger extent, the NFL?

What percentage of the "experts' does this one person represent?

In the world of hot (and dumb) takes, you can always find a clown. Which is why we have you.

Putting down someone in an argument is your go-to.
We get it, you think you're better than everyone, including the 'experts' ( as you roll your eyes ).

I think you mean "expert", I don't see a huge number of people claiming this season is one of Belichick's all-time best.

You found one clown in New England.
