When Mahomes runs out of bounds, he always gives up at least three yards too early.

Why doesn't he run a little further to entice the defense to shove him out for a potential late hit penalty?

3 yards + 15 yard penalty. It's ok for him to get destroyed by a DE but can't take a little after action push on the sideline? Ok
