Just absurd.
Goes to show just how good 15 is but really how bad those previous Chiefs team were when it really mattered. The worst place you can be as a franchise is 'just' good enough. Good enough to win around an average of 9 games a year but never good enough to win the whole thing.

I would certainly say both teams played defenses that weren't very good and I tend to think that in the playoffs big scoring games don't happen because of simple magnitude of the game. Now if there was ever two QBs who could push that over number it would be Mahomes and Allen.

This has a feeling of the last team with the ball is going to win.

They don't have much in terms of a run game.

McKinnon looked pretty sharp last night. I don't think hes any better than Singletary but maybe our oline is built better for the run.

In the NFL you need to be either:

A) Better than (or equal to) 11-6 (preferably 12-5)
or
B) Worse than 5-12

Everything in-between is garbage.

They might be right. A Bills win wouldn't surprise me but it is just hard to know what to think of either team.

The Bills have beat the Pats twice in a row by a combined 42 points but preceded those games with 4 straight losses to playoff teams (Bucs, Pats, Titans, Steelers). The Chiefs meanwhile had won 5 of 6 vs playoff teams prior to last night. Both teams have sprinkled some head scratching play in amongst dominant play.

It will come down to whose defensive line performs better. If the Chiefs can get pressure on Allen and keep him from running loose once he leaves the pocket then I think they advance. KC also needs to eliminate their bad turnovers. Way too many of those this season. Fingers crossed.

Bills have a better defense than the Steelers. It may be the best in the league.

Fortunately our defense has made significant improvement, especially against the pass.

As impressive as Mahomes having 7 (and counting) playoff wins is, if I am not mistaken, between 2008 and 2012 Joey fricking Flaco had 9 playoff wins. Of course the majority of those he wasn't the reason why his team won.

If he stays healthy and the Chiefs continue to surround him with the talent they have in the past (and present), I predict Mahomes has 20 or more playoff wins when he ends his career. Might make him #2 on the all time list if so.

KC can't have a 1st quarter like last night against Buffalo. I think the winner of KC/Buffalo will be the favorite to win the AFC Championship game.

I think the Super Bowl will be a near pick'em if it's any of the the following

GB, TB, LA, KC, Buffalo.

For most of the season I've thought these 5 teams really are the only elite teams in the league. LA is 5th, cause, you know............Stafford.

Me too. Will be interesting to see how people feel about the NFC teams after this coming weekend.
I feel no way should the winner of the Chiefs/Bills game be less of a favorite to win the SB than any NFC team.
What is semi interesting to me is that the Titans are the 1 seed and they are behind the Packers, Chiefs, Bills, and Buccs in terms of the current odds to win the Super Bowl.

2. TB
3. GB
4. Buf
5. Ten

Tampa has a scarier defense than Green Bay. And a scarier QB ( sorry MVP Rodgers ). But Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are quite the load and Davante Adams could tear up our secondary.

Tampa might be down Fournette too.

With Tampa's current WR/RB situation, I think you have to blitz the shit out of Brady and double Gronk. Make TB beat you with 2nd tier skill position players.

Brady Mahomes and Rodgers all alive. What a talented trio.

Legacy wise Rodgers probably needs another title the most. Mahomes has another decade + of being a yearly contender. TB is already the GOAT.

Add Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Matt Stafford and Kyler Murray as dudes who could significantly change their status as QBs.

Stafford career totally changes if he adds a ring.

I still, for the life of me can't figure out how in the world the Bills lost to the Jags. Not only did they lose they lost 9-6. That should never happen.

Of course, that has zero bearing on how Sunday night will go.
