I wonder if they can create a derivative game where you are presented with the final word and the stats as shown above and you reconstruct the guesses. They can probably offer the numerous variations that were part of the previous day - ie. given the final word what would have been Gutter’s four previous and Cascadia and pdub’s two guesses?

That would be difficult.
Yes, and they can do stats on the numerous possibilities as you go above. I’m sure that there are many people who likely guessed “SPORE” as “SCORE” at one point to arrive at a certain final word. In that case they can provide a fork as some people followed that path. I think it’s a programmer’s challenge!

Regarding that, I'm guessing the original dev tapped into an existing set of five letter words as one long as array/dataset.
