Phelps coming to join the good guys.

Newton and I are about to hammered off of the Leipold kool-aid for next year. Can’t remember the last time Ku has this much positive momentum heading into Spring ball and an upcoming season.

Spring ball is going to help so much. Like insanely help.

Defense is still the weak spot. Phelps will help for sure.

Offense has to find a way to replace Lassiter, but I think they can do it with current guys in their room, especially if there’s talk of Thomas doing a slot type of role with the chance to get the ball in his hands early in the play with space.

But like I said, they are absolutely going to try and work teams down in the run game. 4 Big 12 caliber runnings backs currently on the team. 3 of them could probably start for half of the teams in the conference. That’s massive.

Leipold has, so far, proven to be the first guy since Mangino that gets it. He's no talk, all action, and he's putting thus thung together brick by brick. We may only win another 3 or 4 games next year but it's hard not to be excited about the direction we're headed.

Can't imagine there's too many other programs who did as well recruiting the portal as Leipold and company.

After a transition to where they probably lost a couple more guys then they gained, this has been a welcome sight for sure. And they are going after a bunch of younger guys too. Not a lot of grad transfers.

Very stoked. The Pooka team beat KSU without the Snyder Family protective yellow laundry.

See man, Goff just gets it. The 3 year price lock is done, but now they have added 3 tiers to season tickets, including bringing back a family zone. The family zone is a great deal. My family did that from like 2002 to 2012. $450 for 4 tickets for all year. That's an incredible value for families. Mascots will come to the area often and will get some room to hopefully spread out a bit. But if you were solo or with your spouse, there is great value in tier 6. Section 9 in the top part of the stadium is one of my favorite seats in Memorial. At the goal line but high enough to see entire field from a great angle.

For the first time in a while, I wish I was close enough to take advantage.

If I didn't have a young toddler I would be all over that.

Wife and I were just talking about this. Our youngest about to be 4, so he's becoming easier to take to a game and whatnot. We will be coming to Lawrence in the fall this year. Just have to pick a game closer to the season because my oldest plays football on Saturdays around noon. Hopefully he'll have a bye week during a home game.

My preference is an October home game. Nothing beats Lawrence, Kansas on an October Saturday. Play Iowa State and TCU in October in Lawrence.

Anyone else think that Newton and holidays need to put their money where their mouths are? Sign up for some online classes?

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Challenge accepted..? Although my clock might be up. I’ll be a walk-on punter.

Original post/roster updated again. My best guess is 83 scholarships. I'm kind of surprised we haven't heard anything about Casey being awarded a scholarship.

Also, any other transfer rumors out there?

Not a transfer, but I read somewhere there is a defensive back in the class of 2022 who is currently committed to Texas that took an official visit this past weekend with Ethan Vasko and Lonnie Phelps.

Ditto. I feel confident in my ability to be a scout team defensive back.

Would love to poach a recruit from Texas!

Found the story again, it's Ronald Lewis from New Orleans.
