Keep in mind, these new kits will not work for international travel including returning to the US. The only home kits that work for that require and include a telemedicine appointment to confirm the results. They are quite a bit more expensive (about $35 a piece).
The free ones also aren't likely to work for getting into a venue for a concert, event, etc.

Whew.
I was worried for a second you'd pick b.

I think he picked a because that’s the “correct” answer, knowing that it’s a truly theoretical exercise. Up the amount in b to $10k, or the actual cost of a, and watch Mich’s brain explode

I dunno you guys.
There’s a lot of fishable water in the Great Lakes state.
I mean shit have you even seen the upper peninsula?? Not many states have their own personal Canada!

My anti-vaxxer fishing buddy (he got the vax last spring but has since proudly embraced antivax status ever since listening to a Joe Rogan podcast)
Anywho so he brought up “there have been like over 10,000 deaths just from vaccines, and the mainstream media won’t even talk about that!”
I point out I dunno where he got that over 10,000 number from. And what constitutes death by vax. If someone with cancer and a month to live gets a vax then dies a month later, does that count?
But I say, put that all aside either way. Even if there have been over 10,000 deaths (where, just in Merica?), out of over 200m vaxxes administered in Merica alone, isn’t that still a much better bet than the 858k in 68m chance you have (in the US) of dying from covid anyway?

Is it true that something like 75% of deaths are people with 4 comorbidities?

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
There have been 3 deaths directly linked to the vaccine. Those were the three people who died of blood clots after taking the J&J vaccine.
That's after 500,000,000 shots have been administered in the US.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
Do you think it should count if as a covid death if a person has cancer with a month to live and gets covid while in the hospital where they were already dying?
What constitutes death by covid?

No bro, this is Merica.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 11:48 am Is it true that something like 75% of deaths are people with 4 comorbidities?
It has nothing to do with your obesity or diabeetus or high blood pressure or your tobacco habit or your preference for Big Macs or the fact you haven’t exercised since high school gym class, or even if you are currently covid positive.
It has everything to do with that microchip you got last spring.
I tried to told you so!
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
If they’re vaxxed, no of course not.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 11:52 amDo you think it should count if as a covid death if a person has cancer with a month to live and gets covid while in the hospital where they were already dying?

That number is true for vaccinated people who died from the virus, not the unvaccinated or total population according to CDC director Walensky.
It shows how effective the vaccines are, that you have to be in pretty bad shape for the virus to win.
It was based on this study:
