Re: Government Shut-Down Thread
You and I both know that illegal immigration (like much of life) is driven in large part by incentives, which is to say that people generally choose the option that offers the greatest chance for the greatest benefit.
A wall, in addition to other modifications to policy and personnel, would likely be more valuable as a symbol of negative incentives than as an literal immigration-halting protective barrier.

I would welcome to see any study quantifying your assumption.DCHawk1 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 4:50 pm You and I both know that illegal immigration (like much of life) is driven in large part by incentives, which is to say that people generally choose the option that offers the greatest chance for the greatest benefit.

What assumption, specifically.
Note that I didn't say the wall would be effective, just that it would be more effective as a disincentive than as an actual barrier.

Noted. As a barrier or a symbol it still is not the answer.
Re: Government Shut-Down Thread
Probably not.
But the actual answer would be an immediate non-starter.

Let's hope those liberals and feminists out in California don't give them their own reality show.

Yeah yeah nobody's genuine so it's all a wash I can continue to do as is.
Re: Government Shut-Down Thread
Frankly it's sad to see how pathetic our elected officials are. Top to bottom. Very few exceptions.
