But, it requires squeezing rebounds.
And Jalen isn't just good at that, he is one of Bill's best ever statistically.

Then Dave does it for spurts. He had 4 defensive boards in about the first 5 minutes of the Baylor game. He finished with 4.

Is Remy coming back going to make an absolute mess of our rotation?

I don't think so. But it will mean no more Yesufu.

Yesefu is starting to give us what we needed from Remy. Without being as much of a defensive liability. Yes Remy is more polished offensively. But i don't want him back until he is 100%

This team is starting to gel pretty nicely

Yes has been good but let's not act like hes a game changer.

Hes a averaged 6 ppg on 6-14 shooting and 1.6 apg in the 3 games Selfs given him clock.

They are....but we've still lost games without Remy. Now, i am not saying Remy changes the outcomes....

What the last few games have given me is hope for our backcourt next year.

DH Yesufu Pettiford and Cuffe. Need 2 of those 4 to really take a step next year because we will have another chance to be very good. Especially if CB JW and/or Dave come back.

I do think DH looks better next to Yesufu than he does Remy. Yesufu seems very comfy off the ball, whereas Remy really needs it in his hands.

I would love to see Remy shooting % stats for shooting off the dribble vs catch and shoot situations.

Hes given us some quickness off the dribble which has been a missing element. It has changed our offense. But I dont think anyone is arguing hes dominating individually

Yesefu getting into the paint gets the ball moving and the defense shuffling. We need someone to do that. Dajuan has been great but its not in his skillset. Its open things up a lot for Christian and jalen, who coincidentally have played a lot better lately. Which is good since apparently teams are going to be doing shit like face guarding ochai

Yesefus assists feel like it should he higher than 1.6. But him getting into the paint and kicking leads to a lot of hockey assists and missed 3s too.

But you can see his confidence/comfort growing each game. He's settling into a role and looking to create for the team without just looking for his shot. Took awhile. Part of that is on him, part of it on self having a deep team and not finding him minutes

That's in the last 3 games.
On the season he's averaging 2.3 PPG and 1.2 APG, shooting 33% from the field and 23% from 3.

not a knock on Yes, but the best way to get the ball (and then the defense) moving is by passing, not dribbling
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Yea but if it could all be done via passing then Self wouldn’t have gone out and got a bunch of small guards to dribble.

jmo, but both Remy and Yes 1) dribble to much to go nowhere, and 2) too often take bad shots outside of the flow of the offense

You sound ridiculous. We had 1 PG on the roster. We had to recruit small guards.

Yea, that’s pretty much what I said. Are you trying to argue for me or against? Cuz that would sound ridiculous.
