A socialist fascist leftist would prob say something like, it’s not that you can’t further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred, it’s that you’d be more likely to further brotherhood by doing away with the whole construct of classism in the first place.

He's presenting a false dichotomy though. It would be dumb to OVER tax any tax bracket, including the rich. That doesn't mean the current system can't be changed for the better, and that very well could mean a slight raise for the wealthy to give middle and uppermiddle class earners a break.

I mean look at the income tax brackets...the biggest jump is from 12% to 22%... it's like as soon as you go from mediocre job to good career you get the biggest hit. Talk about deincentivizing...why not make it more gradual, even if that means adding another higher bracket or two.

What about increasing tax revenues from other sources besides individual income?
