He isn't going to "trick" the NBA by going to China.

Nah, I've heard they are bad parents--random internet dude said so.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 12:21 pm "Their plan" is probably for their son to have a happy and productive life doing things that he enjoys.
There likely isn't some master plan to trick the NBA into letting Bronny sit on a bench for 1 year before LeBron retires. That doesn't make sense for anyone involved.
"Tricking" is a strawman. They definitely aren't trying to trick anyone--LeBron put it very literally and bluntly.
Re: Who is the GOAT
I don't think he's the typical player ranked in the 40's and 50's though.
But one year of college could be fun and he might prefer being the big man on campus than hanging out in China with adults and people that don't speak his language.

I never said anything remotely close to that one way or the other. That's your strawman argument.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 12:23 pmYou don't think players ranked in the 40s and 50s or higher are usually best benefitted by staying in college 4yrs for free and enjoying life while earning a degree?CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 12:19 pm1.67 more strawman arguments. Re: Who is the GOAT
Or in his 1st year, like the anti LeBron crowd is hoping for, he sucks and is "exposed"....which is possible. If he sucks at Kansas he'd suck in China. The NBA guys will know this within 30min of watching him regardless of where he is at.
So, if he's not NBA material, then it makes way more sense to enjoy college life than to be an overseas grinder like Jamari Traylor.

Personally, I think Bronny has Kentucky and Cal written all over him.
What a match.

I'm not dumb enough to fall into your traps that make you think you proved some point.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 12:28 pmIt was a question.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 12:25 pmI never said anything remotely close to that one way or the other. If I say "Yes," then it's "See Bronny should definitely spend 4 years in college." Nevermind the fact that it completely ignores the unique situation, which is why this is even a discussion.
If I say "No," then it's "OMG I can't believe you, a grown man, don't think that's good for people, why do you hate college and think it's a bad experience?!"
Re: Who is the GOAT
Bronny to China would certainly serve Bron's interests, and (indirectly) his own. But as Bron is a good (altruistic, selfless) papa, throw this consideration out.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 12:10 pm Bronny to China instead of college is idiotic.
Some of you would argue that dog shit smells good if I said it smelled bad.
Re: Who is the GOAT
He's unofficially visited Duke but before K announced he was done.
I think Duke and UK are most likely destinations. We've got to be 3rd with Roy gone though.
Playing in AFH would be fun. If he's good enough to help us then I would be glad to have him.
Re: Who is the GOAT
The "college experience" is closed to Bronny.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 12:15 pm Some of you seem to not value the college experience very much. Which is strange for a bunch of KU grads.
Bronny has all the money he will ever need. You can't buy the college experience.
He can go to China anytime he wants.
Re: Who is the GOAT
You think many rich and famous American born 18yr olds think spending a year in China sounds fun?
I don't.
I don't.

Re: Who is the GOAT
There's still no evidence that KU is recruiting Bronny.
Pretty sure his last "Top 5" did not have KU.
Pretty simple, if Bill wants him, I want him.

Even in the rarefied air of "major college basketball player," the "college experience" is something Bronny will never, ever have.

I would very much prefer for him not to be at KU because of the circus that would come with it.
Duke, Kentucky, Ohio State.
Perfect.

"He's still basically off limits to the media and hasn't put out a school list"
That's the writer's guesses.
