"the grassy knoll" made "knoll" pretty common. Not commonly used, but commonly known in my book.

I'm going to explain to pdub how I got the word.
Don't read below if you are going to play the game.











I swear on my mother's life, my life, and all the money I have to my name, it was nothing more than a very lucky guess.
First guess was the word BOARD.
Clearly the B was in the right place and the letter O was not.
I spent about 15 seconds thinking what words start with B, have an O in them and O is NOT the second letter, and do NOT have an A. At that moment there were only two words that popped in to my mind. Of course there are more and for some unknown reason I was NOT thinking of words that end in O.
I have no idea how or why but clearly I guessed right. Wordle Shit happens. Sometimes in a positive way, sometimes in a negative way. Today was a positive way. About a week ago shit happened and a very negative way. Had 4 correct letters in the right place/s for 3 guesses and still couldn't guess the word in 6 guesses.
