Sure there is. It's critical that the administration get the public to buy into why supporting Ukraine is important.
Let’s have a war!
Re: Let’s have a war!
I agree but I just don't think the SOTU speech is the right forum for that. My assumption is that the people who would watch Biden's SOTU speech already support what we are doing there.
Re: Let’s have a war!
everybody already supports supporting the ukraine.
Re: Let’s have a war!
those pigs don't matter.
Re: Let’s have a war!
if you need to hollywood it up, the ukraine can make the rounds on bill maher and colbert and kimmel and the daily show and such.

Re: Let’s have a war!
it’s not THE Ukraine
it’s Ukraine, and it’s likely disrespectful to their independence to add the article, as it harkens back to when the county was part of the Soviet Union

does anyone say THE Zimbabwe? THE Germany? THE Peru?

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

there’s a little thing called their constitution that lays out their name in such a way

i know you were
i just felt the need to elaborate further for others
i thought it sounded weird when listening to a retired military officer talking about the invasion, so decided to do some further digging. the article has a rather convoluted use globally

Capitalize on the growing unrest among Russians and create an offensive Russian government in exile.
wouldn’t it be great, though, if this all turned out to be putin digging his own grave and russia seeing a revolution of sorts?
And I think that (revolution) is exactly what’s going to happen, whether sooner or later. Putin’s failure to quickly decapitate Ukraine’s government (metaphorically or otherwise) and replace it with a puppet regime is having politically devastating consequences (which will only grow as he has to resort to atrocities, and as economic pain at home deepens).

Absolutely so. They are definitely feeling it quite a bit.
I've gone back and read that article with Fiona Hill about 3 times. Man, it's powerful, probably really accurate and quite scary. I guess I didn't realize the Russian span of life for men was shorter. 70 for Russian men is quite old. His appearance has declined, he's having issues with his body and he's gotten quite a bit puffy in the face which could mean some steroids to help. But he wants to accomplish a lot of stuff before he dies. Who knows how far away he is, but there is that aspect as well.
