Sounds like you are only believing the lefts bullshit narratives.twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 8:48 amI do not have a problem with how Pelosi and Schumer are handling these negotiations at all. I feel that what they are offering is in the best interest of the american people. The only way you think it isn't is if you believe the bullshit narratives originating from the White House.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 8:24 amHe's definitely problematic as hell. But like someone said yesterday, impossible to know what would've happened with the alternative choice....so who knows.
I'm certainly not happy with how the current president is handling a lot of things. And I won't attempt to make excuses for trump's actions over this shutdown....none of our leaders are doing what's best for the American people right now. Right. Left. Middle. Inexcusable imo.
Schumer and Pelosi are cringe worthy. Standing there staring into the camera like robots...doing the same thing the president does, and that's peddle fear to their base.
And you can hardly call what's going on right now as negotiations...and most blame for that is on the president, no doubt....but going on TV and doing/saying what they've been isn't helping. It's just making things worse on the people they're supposed to represent. It's all political BS as usual.
Kasich was on yesterday and had some good compromise ideas. Make a deal (give in) on DACA and some of the other stuff, and adjust the desires of what "a wall" means. Do some barriers where needed, improve technology with drones/cell towers/etc, more staffing, more ways to legally enter, etc.
It shouldn't be THIS hard.
Problem is that the president doesn't seem to realize that Pelosi doesn't work for him. She's not hurting her political position at all by letting this drag on. He's not going to be able to bully his way to a deal.
