We could go back to Darnell, because college basketball would not be as sacred if the NCAA didn't suspend a poor kid for taking a cheeseburger back in high school.
Re: Ochai Agbaji
Definetly thought of as far more talented at the time (even outside of AD), but outside of AD no really notable pro careers....not that we had any guys do big things from that team either.

Ugh.
I don't think so but have at it everyone else.
Re: Ochai Agbaji
True.
But still ugh.

Re: Ochai Agbaji
He was fine in that role last night.
I think there's a large contingent on here who thinks a PG can only be 6'2" or less. Sometimes I think Self gets caught up on a PG looking like a PG.
I'm fine with D. Lawson playing the PG role.

Oh, I'm cool with a 6'5 point guard.
Just don't think Garrett, at this point, is that distributor and the guy you want the offense starting with.
Devon 36 minutes a game baby.

Re: Ochai Agbaji
MG isn't great as a facilitator, but offensively he's better at that than standing around the perimeter catching the ball wide open and having to shoot it....and like you said, it's hopefully only for 5min a night.
Re: Ochai Agbaji
He was Texas Gatorade POY as a PG right? Don’t see it as option 1, but I figure he could make it work.
I am, I said.
Re: Ochai Agbaji
Even though he has no reliable jump shot, I always feel at ease when Garrett is on the floor.
His ball handling, rebounding and defense are badly needed for this team.

Re: Ochai Agbaji
I didn't mean Moore would be a grad transfer after THIS season. He'd have to take summer classed this year to be done after next season with one season of eligibility remaining.

I didn't say he was Plan A or B. But he is serviceable.

The problem is that Garrett’s mere presence on the floor screws up our spacing and rhythm, because he doesn’t have to be guarded.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 6:54 pm Even though he has no reliable jump shot, I always feel at ease when Garrett is on the floor.

Re: Ochai Agbaji
well if he doesn't have to be guarded, then what's it do to the spacing and rhythm if we put the ball in his hands?jfish26 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 11, 2019 9:36 amThe problem is that Garrett’s mere presence on the floor screws up our spacing and rhythm, because he doesn’t have to be guarded.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 6:54 pm Even though he has no reliable jump shot, I always feel at ease when Garrett is on the floor.
