Were any of Sherron (career high 5.7 A/40), Tyshawn (6.7), Frank (5.7) or Devon (4.6) really point guards, in the traditional sense?

Particularly since going four-out, our offense has really sung with lead guards who also hunt buckets. This is true even for Devonte (who did average 7.7 A/40) in his AA season.
I’d say that’s just an overall basketball trend.
Sure, absolutely, 100%. Borderline malpractice to plan on having a lead guard who can't score.

Well I think Self wants 2 of those.

Russ/chalmers, taylor/ Collins, taylor/too strong, mason/graham, graham/malik...

No doubt. And so, last year for instance, having zero of them is a fucking catastrophe of roster construction.

What’s the statute of limitations in Kansas to sue Self for 2021?

We shoulda Texas tech'd last season. Just sold out on defense, played all our longest most atletic guys and just hope we could get to 50.

I would have rather played like we do this season.

Bill did sell out for defense starting in conference and took the air out of the ball. Margin for error was razor thin. Bad Dave game meant a big loss.

DH only averages 2pts less per game this season than RussRob did his Junior and Senior seasons.

Few more mpg for DH and RR more efficient. Higher eFG% and TS%.

The stronger more relevant argument for DH is that he's a more efficient shooter than Yes.

As sophomores (noting than Harris took a RS), per-40s:

Pts / Ast / Reb / Stl+Blk

Harris

7.1 / 5.9 / 2.8 / 3.5

.472 / .292 / .800 (1.2 FTA/40)

Robinson

13.0 / 6.5 / 4.4 / 3.9

.396 / .322 / .742 (5.3 FTA/40)

RussRob was a better defender than DH by a wide margin.

RR shot a better percentage from deep on more attempts.

RR also had about 30 pounds of muscle on Dajuan.

also gonna say the *checks notes* 7 NBA players in waiting that surrounded RR 2-5 and on the bench were productive enough that RR didn’t have to do more.

Not sure we have that kinda talent surrounding Dajuan.

I would argue that one of RussRob's best attributes was that he knew his place. He found his lane and stayed in it.

It helped that, at the college level, he could credibly guard two or three positions. It's not Harris' fault that he can get pushed around by nearly every high-major player.

Speaking of lane, RR was better at getting in it than Juan too

Which isn't easy for a guy of his pedigree to do.

The other teams guarded russrob. I'm fine with Harris scoring zero points, if the other team guards him. It's only when they leave him alone that we need him to score.
