Does JuJu have a connection to this area? Seems like he is around here a lot.
Re: NFL Offseason 2022
Rumors are a 1 year deal for $11M.
That’s absolutely astonishing

If I recall, KC was super close to signing him last year, too. Seems like he has some kind of connection to the area or just really wants to be here.

Browns are giving up 3 first-round picks and more to get him. And they'll have to unload Mayfield. Sounds like the Colts may be interested there.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 3:23 pm Deshaun Watson to Browns. He gets a long term deal as well.
Gross.

Lotta money for a WR who had 100 something yards last year...but his ceiling is high.

Re: NFL Offseason 2022
It just doesn't seem like there is any such thing as an overpay anymore.
QB's are in the 50M's. WR's can reach the 30M's.
We are going to blast right through a 300M cap.

Re: NFL Offseason 2022
Its only one year so an overspend isn't nearly as impactful.
Hes young and is better than any of our receivers sans Hill.

He was also most effective in Pittsburgh being the #2 target opposite of Antonio Brown. Putting him in an offense where the focus is on Hill and Kelce helps get him back into that role and takes some pressure off him.

And he had Ben throwing to him the last 2 years. Night and day difference.

Now DJ Moore gets a 3 year $62m extension--we're going to have to give Justin Jefferson ownership of half the team.

That’s Cleveland for you. Mayfield is a good QB.UnholyLivingDead wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 3:28 pmBrowns are giving up 3 first-round picks and more to get him. And they'll have to unload Mayfield. Mayfield is not a good QB.
This is a great move by Cleveland. Baker was holding that team back. Top 10 NFL roster outside of QB, that’s fixed now. AFC North and AFC West are brutal divisions right now. Worst of the 8 might be Pittsburgh

Re: NFL Offseason 2022
lol. Watson didn’t even play in 2021. He’s a punk that sexually assaults women and will be suspended or in jail. Perfect for a shIthole like Cleveland along with Kareem Hunt.

Except for the Browns, apparently.Cascadia wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 8:55 pmDeep breaths.
No one is defending Watson’s character.
Re: NFL Offseason 2022
Just saw that JuJu's deal is incentive laden apparently. So only $3M against the cap this year--has to play at least six games too. Learned their lesson from Sammy.

Show me the right trade package and I wouldn't hate this move.

I kind of agree, oddly enough.
If you get a decent WR and then some high end picks with it, you can get a top WR in this class.

Hard to blame Hill for wanting/needing this to be a huge contract and hard to blame Chiefs for clearing a shitload of caproom this week.

Re: NFL Offseason 2022
He probably wanted to top Adams contract. Can you give out 5 years at $150M? Really tough to decide on that. For a guy who relies almost solely on speed, that could be an expensive cap hit for a guy who has missed some games for soft tissue issues. He hasn't been the healthiest guy that the Chiefs have had.
