Winning isn't important to him as that bag.
Not that surprising though.
He's already had multiple things that could have derailed his career. But didn't and the Chiefs specifically stuck with him after the 2nd incident. Get the money while you can.
The Chiefs stuck by him and it paid off in a big way. But if he wants to make maximum money as he wraps up his career, you can't begrudge him for that. He's 28 now, this is very likely the last big contract he'll get to sign. But the Chiefs have to do what's best for business and the roster as a whole. Get what you can for him rather than let him walk for free when his contract ends. If he wants Davante Adams money, KC can't give him that. They can't hamstring their cap room for him when the defense needs to many upgrades.

Dolphins don't have a 1st this year. Jets do at 10.
I thought the Dolphins had the pick right above ours.
Jets have multiple 1sts. 4 and 10. 4 would be great but you could work with 10.
10 and a 2nd would give you 2 1sts and 2 2nd's and a ton of 3rd's this draft.

Jets have multiple 1sts?
The Jets have the #4 and the #10 from Seattle.
The Dolphins have the #29 from San Francisco.

Just read that Jets are willing to give up 10 and a 2nd.

Chiefs are getting a WR1 in this draft at 10. And then getting an edge at 30. Book it.

I'd trade Hill for that, easily. Chris Olave + an edge rusher in the first round. Hell yeah.

If he can't accept top 5 WR money to continue a career in KC well, what a fuckwad Tyreek Hill is.
Conversation I just had with a co-worker. Is $20M OK if you get to play with Mahomes or are you happy getting top dollar but play with Zach Wilson or Tua. Definitely a tough decision. Go get the bag, all the time. But I think you can get a good bag and still be set up for good success.
Good call.

Reports saying he’s traded this afternoon. He’s definitely gone. I think he’s going to Jets. Chiefs get their 10 and either the 22 or 23 2nd.

Chiefs save money having a top WR at a way cheaper contract. Get to keep their 30 for an edge guy.

Fine with it. Not ideal but it’s fine.

imho, this move makes Tyreek easier to root against (if that's possible) and the chiefs easier to root for.

For sure.
Never liked Hill's antics.
Or off field stuff.

But now the Chiefs don't have a no.1 WR.
Gotta hope the draft pick hits like a Jamar Chase.

Chiefs just got a ton of picks to fill multiple holes. Would have liked a higher first round pick from the Jets but this is fine. They’re going cheap.

Chiefs extended their window by about 7 years. But short term, this hurts them.

That's a good haul. I liked the idea of the Jets better just because of that higher first round slot, but that's ok.

Draft math says this is equivalent to a 10 overall pick.

Draft math is kinda dumb then.
I'd rather have all those picks than one.

Mahomes personal trainer. He’s in the know. Seems like more moves are coming down the line.

Rumor is Hill got 120 million for 4 years.
Yea, no, you're very good, but your numbers are inflated from the best QB in the NFL.
