Some KC sports media person I follow on twitter, can't recall who, tweeted that Chiefs cleared like close to $10m last night by converting someone's salary to a bonus.

Now this. It's clear that all the AFC-W moves mean the Chiefs can't stay pat. (wait, maybe not a good idiom for the Chiefs).

Yea, no, you're very good, but your numbers are inflated from the best QB in the NFL.
Were the best QB in the NFL numbers inflated from Hill - and Kelce?
Hard to say they weren't - if Hill's numbers were inflated from playing with Mahomes.

Boring.
Take a look at your boi Allen Robinson with Andy Dalton and your bust of a QB that you traded all those draft picks for.

I'd rather have all those picks than one.
Yes, draft ‘math’ is very dumb

Look who the Chiefs landed in the 2nd and 6th rounds this season.
And where they got Tyreek Hill.

Chiefs also clear $20M in cap from this trade. Instead of going big, they’re going to go smaller deals with above average players to fill that cap space. Maybe 3 guys at 20M total in deals instead of 1 guy.

They’re filling holes. They got draft capital and cap space. There’s something in the works.

Weak comeback guy.
What the heck do the Bears have to do with the Chiefs?
"Boring" is the Chiefs winning a grand total of one Super Bowl in the Mahomes era.

Remember when the Bears drafted Trubisky over Mahomes?
Man what a day.

Also, Mahomes era, 4 years, 4 AFC West titles, 4 AFC Champ games, 2 AFC titles, 1 SB.
In 4 years.

In 40 years, the Bears have 2 NFC titles, 1 SB.
But Trubisky baby!

I don't think it's out of the question that one or both of Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase get $40m per season.

Shit, maybe Mahomes could get $60m at some point.

gutter gonna gutter

but still…the excitement around the Chiefs these last few years by far eclipses anything i’ve seen over the last ~30 years

boring, it definitely is not

So Chiefs played in 5 games under Mahomes where Hill didn't play a snap. Went 4-1 in those games and Mahomes threw 8 TDs to only 1 INT.

They'll be just fine.

Jets didn't even offer the #4 or the #10. They only offered their two second-round picks at #35 and #38. Makes sense why KC took the Dolphins offer instead.

I agree they should be ok but we need to define "just fine".
Do they beat Buffalo last season without him?
Do they beat Buffalo 2 seasons ago without him?
Do they beat Tennessee 3 seasons ago without him?

KC fans not being upset with the Hill trade leading to a gutter meltdown is strange, but on brand.

Fine is competitive. Still a team that is in the top 10 of the NFL. They're going to fill a lot of holes with these picks that they acquired. Or package the picks and get a top end talent in the draft this year.

I'm hardly melting down but come on, it's another perfect example of the typical hypocritical bullshit when people on here blow a player and elevate him to god like status and then when the player leaves - it's no big deal.

Absolutely the Chiefs should still be a top 10 team - and they will fill holes.
This should/will hopefully benefit the team in the long run but the time/window for the Chiefs to win Super Bowls is NOW.
I just don't see how losing Hill helps the team NOW.

we’ll see if it’s a big deal or not

it seems to me that the Chief’s D was what needed addressed most, even if that means they may loose an offensive piece
