trae young is starting to become must see basketball. im enjoying watching him go at opposing crowds. I just cant decide if i want to like him or hate him too
Same. Hated him in college. Similarly to Marcus Smart, the hate isn't as strong now that they're in the NBA and not facing the Jayhawks. Unfortunately Trae doesn't have the horses to compete with the Heat i don't think. They'll be lucky to steal a game. But he was so fun to watch last week in the play in game.
There are some incredible young guards right now. Trae Ja Luka Lamelo etc. Going to be fun watching them continue to develop.

yeah they have no chance against the heat, especially after the capela injury. maybe trae and company get hot from 3 and steal a game but i wouldnt be shocked if the heat sweep them

Their best bet is hoping the heat players enjoy the ATL strip clubs in between game 3 and 4 and come out sluggish in 1 of those games.

New President - New Gutter. I am going to pledge my allegiance to Donald J. Trump and for the next 4 years I am going to be an even bigger asshole than I already am.

I just can't get into the NBA anymore, even the playoffs are boring. Especially on the heels of the college tourney which is a 100 times more exciting event.

Seems like a lot of people either love it or don't. Not a lot of middle ground.
I have numerous players I really enjoy to watch, moreso than "teams" I cheer for.
Although with GS and Philly i cheer for them now with the Jayhawk connection. As well as Boston because I like their style and a few of their non jayhawk players.
Quote is fake. Video is not. GP does some weird shit. There is also video of him grabbing LeBron's shorts right in the dick area and holding onto them trying to get a retaliation.
Hawks looked dead in the water. Were down 16 and have made a crazy run. Trae and Bogdonavich hitting some big time shots. Still probably going to fall short. But they showed some serious heart. Future is bright in ATL.

Bright future or not, they seem to be regressing.
Last season they made the Eastern Conference Finals (after being 20-47 the season before that).
This season they were 4 games over .500 and will probably lose in the first round.

The east got better, maybe?
Iirc John Collins and Clint Capella were both hurt for stretches of this season too.
I don't "think" they regressed, but I'd have to dig into those numbers you mentioned a little more and see when injuries came (and to who) this season before I'd be able to come to a definitive conclusion.
Probably could have gotten at least 20-1 odds the Pelicans would beat the Suns by 10 or more. They won by 11 after losing game 1 by 11. Hmmmm. Conspiracy peeps who feel the NBA is fixed should be excited by that result.
Does not having Booker really make that big of a difference? I figure they can/will still beat the Pelicans in 5 (or 6 or 7) without him. Can/will probably beat the winner of the Mavs/Jazz series without him too but the injury doesn't seem to be too serious and he will probably be back by then.
Probably could have gotten at least 20-1 odds the Wolves would beat the Grizz by 25 or more. They won by 28 after losing Game 1 by 13.
Grizz got I think 60 points off their bench last night.
I know this is a stretch but to me watching Ja and Ant play is as enjoyable as watching Kobe and Iverson was.
The Heat when "on" very well may be the best team in the East - and to me player wise, they should be about the 4th best team. I discount the value of a head coach in the NBA but if anyone deserves credit as a head coach - Spo is without question one of those guys.
Perfect example to me why Giannis has to be top 3 in MVP voting is that I believe the Bucks without him are a sub .500 team. With him, they are defending NBA Champions and have a better than very good chance of repeating as Eastern Conference Champions.
The Celtics/Nets series has more than just potential to go down in history as one of the best (if not the best) first round series. Now because I said that, watch the Celts sweep the Nets. No, I don't think that will happen.
As long as the 6ers stay healthy, the Raptors players might as well be making vacation plans starting next week. Sure would be nice to see Joel get a consolation (of not winning MVP) prize of winning the East and making the Finals - if not winning a championship.
Crown the Warriors? Not yet but if they stay healthy I can't see anyone beating them. Including the Suns and any/every team in the East.
Jazz/Mavs - Without Luka playing I have basically zero interest in watching that series.
Couldn't care less who wins.
P.S. It's nice to see player/s and fan/s have a POSITIVE interaction.

Are you sure you're a basketball fan??
I understand the regular season isn't as exciting. But the playoffs absolutely are. The absolute best in the game playing at the highest level. The playoffs are intense. They are chippy heated and they constantly have to separate players. Never understood people who claim to like basketball but don't like the NBA playoffs

sorry you don't understand me
used to love the NBA. its glorified WWE 90% of the season. I dont like it. Its ok, opinions are like assholes and all that.
you of all people, should appreciate differences in opinion.
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
